Sorry but you are misleading users.. The rear main Camera modules are not the same .. Nothing 2 has Sony IMX890 .. but the cheaper Nothing 2a has Samsung Isocell GN9.
And results is on court Nothing 2a. I have Sony IMX890 in OnePlus Nord 3 and Samsung GN9 in Nothing 2a. Night mode is definitely much better on photos and videos who made with GN9 sensor.

One important thing to note for Connectivity as well: the Nothing 2a has the proper NFC chip for osaifu-keitai, Japan's e-payment system. So, if you want to use Suica, Nanaco, Kururu, or any other digital transport or payment cards while traveling in Japan, the 2a is the "better" option.
I got the 2a under the developer program in the US. I am on the T-mobile network and it works pretty well, although coverage isn't as good as my Samsung. Otherwise, it is a great phone so far. I have no issues with speed, bluetooth, wifi calling etc. The cameras are pretty decent and keep being improved with updates. Overall, I am very happy with it. It is well worth the price.

honestly, if you dont horribly care for performance and dont mind the back design that is very controversial for some reason, go with the 2a. if youre gonna do more resource-intensive things like gaming, go with the 2.. but really, if youre doing real resource intensive things on a phone, i'd go with a galaxy s23 or something like that.. the nothing phones arent the most powerful phones, but theyre good enough for most people.
Bruh, why don't you wait a few months and get the Nothing 3 instead ? But if you really want a new phone right now - I feel the 2a is a nice option. I personally don't care about a high grade camera in my phone - and the 2a is cheaper and provides the same value as the Phone 2

i believe it works well on t mobile, but it doesnt work very great with verizon and at&t. if you use google fi, though, that will also work well as they use t-mobiles network. thats all i know.

youtube deleted my reply, i guess. it doesnt work on AT&T. it technically works on Verizon but its missing a lot of important bands for that to always work. Verizon works very slow on it. T-Mobile and anything using their network works very well. Google Fi works well too as it uses T-Mobile's network.

@@petrisalonen4893 I totally agree with you but the 2a has some drawbacks such as ufs 2.2 and lpddr4x ram just doesn't sound as good, or performs as well as the phone 1's ufs 3.1 and lpddr5 ram. The 2a excels in camera only(no offense to anyone who has the 2a and is reading this) just look at the geekbench score the phone 1 score 1089 and 2a scores 1154. Not a big difference, and the multi score for phone 1 is 2500 and 2a is 2200 (Correct me if I'm wrong) This doesn't mean it's worser then phone 1 but I'm a little bit disappointed with nothing. They could have spent a bit more and provided a decent snapdragon chip and ufs 3.1
The phone 2 was just too expensive. It should have been pitched at 150-200 more than the 2a, not 250. It put it against better phones. They should drop wireless charging if it's a premium mid range phone. Reserve wireless charging for flagship tier devices. You could drop the 8 gen for a top tier 7 gen and there wouldn't be a huge performance drop.
Great tradeoff between flagship and value model. I'm a User that doesn't need the extra's in the flagship so the 2a is perfect. Often there is just that one feature you need in the flagship model that makes it hard choice.

2a is great with minimal tasks but even sending photos to people will cause it to lag pretty bad. Also camera is slooww
