Agreed it almost feels likee excersise that is fun a walk trough a higher world than the ground something so engaging but fun and still got a bit of danger to it if you like to climb tall trees its just beautifull
Since I was a little kid I've always liked climbing trees. Now I'm 21 and still the same. It's like an impulse: you see a tall tree that is climbable and you feel the need to climb it. Didn't know anyone like me
After I shouted 'Good morning!' to my now late Mum, from the top of a 30m, 100 year old pine, I was grounded from more then 4-5m up trees. Still had fun though ;)
Last summer I found a video on TH-cam about a guy climbing trees with climbing gear and hanging his hammock high up in the canopy. The next day I bough a hammock and went in the forest by myself. I found two nice trees and set up my hammock. I really enjoyed my time there. After a week of watching tutorials about tree climbing I decided to buy some basic climbing gear. I learn how it works very quickly. After a few days of getting familiar with the equipment I went and spent my first night high up in the canopy of a lovely tree. There's a special connection between us and trees. We feel safe up there. It feels like home. My butt was freezing the whole night, by the way 😂
Wow I do it for a job I’m in trees daily did you in clip from rope or did you sleep in the harness, can’t imagine sleeping high up as I sometimes sleep walk hahaaaa but also can’t imagine sleeping in my harness
maybe they shouldnt cut trees but relocate them transfer them, not to cut them..and i think its nice to have cities with a touch of wildlife and countrysides fills you with imaginations of myths or inspiration...also its really nice to see trees and parks in the city it complements the weather coolness and cold and the ftey or blue skies of britain..
Right on Lea! Today 200 year Oak trees with 200 years of life in it. Have been moved for $200,000. So this cannot be done for old parkway trees, or any trees having restricted root system.
@@Unknown-eg5xz Yes, a better solution would be to simply plant 1 seed for every 1 tree cut down in forests and countrysides. This would cost some money but it certainly is a much better option.
That's a hard thing to do, designing with trees in mind could be something but traffic/infrastructure (and that one word for supply coordination, I forgot the word) would suffer a bit Got it, the word I was looking for is "logistics"
one time, i was in my mid 20's and i was renting a room in my aunts house. they had a huge tree in the yard, i enjoyed climbing it, and my uncle told me to cut it out. so there goes that fun.
Just came back from tree climbing I started doing it because i felt like being in the bottomless pit, no feelings of being alive, since i climb i am way more positive and happy in general. When you are in the bottomless pit, the only way back, is up Think about it, and then go outside, change your life.
i have been climbing trees for a living for 15 years. I consider my self very lucky to have the best job in the world . I dont consider my self a "safe kinda climber" i dont always were a helmet or follow all the safety guidelines. But when i see you climb with out a harness and life line .... Twice so far, pretty big branches broke off from my weight . It does not mater how good at climbing you are when the branch you walk on snap off. Cool video ! Keep on climbing, play safe , tie in.
Well, you can start working out your biceps and back, along with triceps, get decent shoes, and just start, I used to climb daily when I was younger, I fell out of that habit but now I'm back in and I'm happier because of it, just start and try not to fall, skill will come with time. Also get good at squeezing the tree with a clap position because sometimes that is necessary, if you have other question s ju st reply, I'll check here daily
Levi Stepanian No don’t wear shoes especially in trees. Just practice slowly going barefoot and slowly get better and listen to your body so that you don’t rush the process.
That’s what I do at the park I always challenge myself and I always get surprised at how good I am at tree climbing. The only thing I do different is I wear shoes 😂😂
I don’t know anything about climbing trees but I’ll say if ur going to walk on a half thick and half thin tree, u should walk on four legs because u have more balance I guess?
I've always found that to be a lot more difficult and scary! I've never been able to tell I'll definitely have enough strength to engage in a branchless tree, there's basically no chance to rest your arms. Besides I always fear the bark might peel off...
CampaignsIlraon I usually climb trees with very smooth bark. So it never peels. Also you use mainly your leg strength to climb and your arms for support. That’s a tip I learned that helped me a lot
@@Hanuman_ I always climb trees with standard sports shoes. It helps absorbing some impact when dropping down to the ground. But I guess if you know how to ground properly, barefeet would do just as well.
Feet give you a larger surface area because they deform around the tree, they are already curved on the bottom, and you can curve them even more around branches, almost hugging them. I climb coconut trees to get coconuts and I can tell you I'd have an extremely hard time with shoes.
Don't be encouraging this where I live because we had 3 6ft 4 black men climbing 40 feet into a tree in our park and watching the young women...know what I MEAN?
@Picaro Sanshiro I agree climbing is a great way to keep fit and you will be breathing in the freshest of air be in a forest or a city it will beat the quality of air at ground level.
Nothing better than climbing a tree
Agreed 👍

I'm here bro. There is no big tree in my area that I didn't climb. Nice wind on top of a tree watching the sea.
I'm like you.
same bro, but im still a kid so i dont get alot of strange looks
It's the spirit of our ancestors
It sucks that not many people know that this is what we’re supposed to do
I love climbing trees so much. I’ve been scolded for doing it countless times lol.

my friend always walks away when i find a tree to climb, he always thinks im going to fall
I love you all fellow tree climbers. Wish we could have a forest for us and live there together :((

If a branch breaks from under you, the tree is probably rotten. Trees are naturally strong. It should support ur weight
Same here I climb on 2 lines it feels odd climbing without now
I love climbing! It's soooooo great when you find a great tree!

Nothing is quite as human as climbing a tree
I’ll still climb trees when I’m 70.

work out with calisthenics basically and start getting used to trees, get to a point where you understand if a tree is sturdy or sketchy
we had two huge trees in our school I used to finish the meal earlier so that I could spend 30 minutes of lunch time sitting on those trees
