Even I used to feel same ..Everyone was better than me. One day in our group one senior person joined ..must be around 50..he doesnt know dancing as well..but he was enjoying .he didnt care about others..That changed my perception..even i started enjoying and didn't skip dance class..

I thought that too but I was also thinking that she may be the teacher’s wife and thus she was trying to show him that she respect him. I know I should not generalize but I am Caribbean (from a very near Island) and unfortunately, some man here (in the Spanish speaking islands of the Caribbean) can be pretty possessive and overly male chauvinist. She was probably trying to make it safe.

I love how Conan will do anything for a laugh. If there's one thing I've learned from this man it's to not take life so seriously. He seems to have fun in any situation
It doesn't hurt that he makes great money and is already happily married to a beautiful woman who understands him. So he can afford to be confident and carefree.
Well, there was a time when he was depressed. It's when he lost his job. You can check it out in his documentary 'conan o'brien can't stop'. It's very sad.
He is doing that only for tv. In real life he is an introverted person especially at home, very self conscious and anxious. He is very hardworking and if anything goes wrong, he gets depressed. He once said that in order to have great show, he should be unhappy before it, so he sits alone in a room. He talks to himself looking at the mirror all the time and even shouts at himself, if the show did not go as he planned and didn't get enough laughs. He said all these in his podcast.

Conan visiting different countries and interacting with the locals is the best part of the show for me. His self deprecating humor is untouchable. No one in the late night game comes even close to him. Every country he goes to, it amazes me how quickly he is able to have the locals like him and get comfortable

you know, in each of these conan remotes, you can see how at first, the other people are weary of conan and think he's creepy, but he eventually wins them over and they love him

One thing I really like about most americans is how dancing for is a figure of expressing their freedom to just flow with the act of dancing, regardless of what is expected, turning choreography style dancing (like the kind most of latin-american people do) into a unnecessary commitment. I am from Puerto Rico and I tell you, dancing over here is pretty difficult and somewhat square precisely because of the constraints implied by the culture of choreograph dancing. That is why I love this skit, it is beautiful to see somebody 'trying' to learn something from a different culture without loosing his sense of self -no matter if that sense is impervious to choreographed dancing.

I am on a Conan binge right now and didn't know he went to Cuba! I love how he actually gets out of the U.S. and connects with different countries and cultures. Especially Cuba. I feel it's sort of a mystery because it's been so restricted for so long.

If you notice some hostility from the people you got to understand, Latin American humor is way diferent than North America, Conan's humor can come off as offensive and weird for some people.
What about Mexico? It's part of North America *AND* Latin America.
No man, your name implies latino heritage, so you must know, cubans are proud people, and they are not used to mess around with anything. They take what they do pretty seriously. It's almost comical, but it's how they've been brought up. Yet, the cubans in the video were really having fun.
