They specify in the start of the notes that they are working on a patch that will change the characters and how they play pretty substantially so they did not want to make too many changes right now
Depends on how you learn the game. if you focus on fundementals and not tunnel vision on a single character its not hard. Also helps immensely with matchups
Dragunov as usual... getting away with murder 😂. I know they said in patch 1.09 that Dragunov will get tuned properly, but I still find it funny that they're doing very tiny changes to him every patch.

I thought the burst was meant to reset the situation, not increase pressure on an already overpressurized game... Honestly felt so weird playing him yesterday, cuz so many of my previous strategies seemed to either not work or just felt off...

This is my 1st game maining Steve because all his stances and mechanics are fun but like many I agree that he is one of the more mechanically challenging characters to play. With that in mind, every patch I see involving Steve has him nerfed in some way. While this one doesn’t look too bad, I’m finding it hard to justify not switching to an easier to play character as it feels like we are being punished for figuring out setups for difficult characters

It is 30 frames and you can easily break it ffs you can sidestep every other move in bt. I mean they can take it but in exchange she gets a good ws launcher, any ch launcher, a string that isnt crap, a low outside of stance that isnt crap. A good armor move. More combo options so that you have more than 1. Actual dmg on her moves. A homing move that isnt crap.

Personaly I prefer to block and punish bt. its not worth getting nicked by something mid ss 30-40% of the time imo. unless you have a hard read. I have ducked the throw on reaction at times but havent practiced enough to maximize my punish. Also, Ling never had damage thats her design. Hell this is prob the most damaging ling Ive seen. I am just saying it was already a huge buff she gets the combo guaranteed after the throw but tracking throws is just a no for me.

True… the grab tracked before patch (1.04?) and they gave it back. It’s a cancellable grab after all, it not tracking led to all kinds of issues around misalignment.
playing tekken 2 and 3 made me realize how much less tekken became about fighting ability and more about juggling, like in tekken 2 and single string of 3 or 4 hits will KO you in afew seconds but in the newer games it seems longer to get KO.
A good Dragunov Nerf? qcf 4 shouldn't hit grounded... It's already safe on block and tracks like a mf. You'd need to be on some seriously strong drugs to be able to perfectly step that move
As a Dragunov main, I wanted that qcf+4 damage nerf because it made his other tools redundant in combos. Pre-patch, there was hardly any reason to end with qcf+1+2.
As a DJ main, having no other buffs besides another unsafe mid homing move and essentially omen ewgf makes so much sense. High execution on demand for high damage in areas only a few other characters are allowed to perform due to -13. If they keep nerfing other characters’ damage, he might get an identity back besides arguably worst Mishima
Why did they nerf this Steve tech? Ki charge into throw is something that will almost never happen, or was there a setup for it? They should have just scale the damage down.
The KI charge change was made because it wouldn't apply to throws in general I believe so you would keep the "counter" damage until it was used in a hit. Steve to my knowledge was the only one that benefitted from it because of his clinch, but you were more or less telegraphing it because you knew what option most times would come out.
Can u miss add in an up & down arrow next time to state immediately what is a buff or nerf? Some moments required me to rewind to look at carefully & figure it out.
That jin nerf and dragunov nerf is the most useless nerf i've seen lol Of all things broken (Jin D2 being -14, Jin Heat smash being a nuke, drag qcf4 being plus 7 and tracking, b4 2 safety) they nerf magic 4 combo dmg which is rarely used XD
Guys, they fixed the game. Drag now does a little less damage. Don't forget to show your love and support by buying the new stage! That money will be used to fund the next patch that will make Paul's deathfist deal an additional 1 damage. They're really hard at work at bamco so the $5 will really help out these small indie devs.
