'Building Better Players' Speed and Agility Workshop with Joey Doherty

Déise Óg Development/Waterford GAA were delighted to run ‘Speed and Agility’ Workshops for Hurling, Football and Camogie Coaches in June 2022.
The ‘Building Better Players’ Workshops took place in two venues across the county and were of huge benefit to all coaches who attended.
The Workshops were delivered by Joey Doherty who is the Lead S&C Coach with the county underage squads in Waterford. Joey is a hugely experienced and knowledgeable coach and he showed us very practical ways we can help our players. There were questions asked throughout the Workshop where coaches got insights and ideas from Joey.
Following the delivery of the Workshops, Barry Dunne (Coach Education Coordinator for Waterford GAA) said 'We are delighted that coaches who attended enjoyed the sessions so much and we hope to run further Workshops in the future on areas of coaching that interest our club and development squad coaches. Coaching is a journey and we hope club coaches continue to want to upskill, develop and learn as that is the key to successful and fulfilling coaching. If the appetite for learning is there we will always rise to meet it and feed it."
