- With such a prolific output on Scott Aukerman’s Earwolf podcast “Comedy Bang! Bang!”, second only to Paul F. Tompkins (not counting the hundreds of times Reggie Watts has visited to sing the opening theme), compiling the Top Ten Lauren Lapkus guest appearances, based on volume of laughs, brilliance of improvisation or quirkiness of characterisation is just too challenging.
Fortunately, working it out mathematically is easy, for Lauren has created exactly ten characters who’ve been on “Comedy Bang! Bang!” three times or more (with a combined 80 appearances between them), perfect for a Lauren Lapkus Top Ten, ranked by their number of visits, here in their debuts (on “Comedy Bang! Bang” that is, one of the characters originating on the podcast “With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus"). In a few cases, two characters have the made the same number of appearances. For such tied rankings, the earliest debut is heard first.
As the episodes have been edited to highlight Lauren’s work on each, much has been left on the cutting room floor. For the entire shows and every other CBB, including more than 100 live episodes (and 30 MORE Lauren Lapkus characters!), subscribe to Stitcher Premium. I've heard every CBB episode, but doing these videos, I often hear characters I'd forgotten. Frank was one of those for me and Lauren is so funny doing him. I'm surprised he hasn't appeared more. I'm glad you like the videos. Enjoy!

Yes, I often think of stoners enjoying these. Actually, I often think it's stoners performing these. If so, the trend does not stop with the middle man, which will go a long way to explain some of the weirder images I sometimes include. The one I am working on at the moment has a gift-wrapped bullet. Often the next morning I wonder what I was thinking. Sometimes I remove the crazier stuff, but I usually leave that shit in, thinking if no one else appreciates it, the stoners will.

It’s funny how Lauren would clearly get annoyed sometimes when scott took the improv into sexual/dirty areas... and then she comes out as Pam from Big Bear and fully leans into it. Fucking hilarious
