  • LDSGirlDoes Come Follow Me: Early morning study and reflection on The Book of Mormon. It took great afflictions to bring this people back to Faith.
    Name of the Week: Emmanuel
Hymn of the Week: Oh, May My Soul Commune with Thee
In the same vein of our New Testament challenge we're going to carry on with likening the scriptures to us, finding the passages that speak to us and creating statements that will help us incorporate those verses into our daily lives. We're also going to focus on Christ-like attributes. Each month focuses on a specific attribute of Christ such as hope, faith, charity, long-suffering. Each month that will be the focus of the scripture study to find those attributes of Christ in the scripture or how to develop them. On the weeks where there's not enough scripture study to make it possible to have enough meat each day to study we'll be supplementing in conference talks that have to do with the Christ-like attribute of the month. I have selected three talks per attribute but sometimes there will be more than 3 talks per month. I've left those to your choosing. You can choose a talk based on the Christ-like attribute of that month or whatever you're feeling you would like to supplement. If you'd like a free digital of the reading schedule I'm using feel free to email me at rnkpaperco@gmail.com
    🎉 General Conference Goals 🎉
During General Conference I like to set goals for the next 6 months. In the April Conference it was impressed upon me that I need to strengthen my relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, improve my prayers, to learn my covenants and to "live inside them." To achieve these goals I've set a plan that I believe Heavenly Father has guided me towards.
⭐First Goals: Is to study the names of Christ that I have found while doing my personal scripture study. Each Sunday I will randomly pick from a list I have created, study all I can about it, and pray that name back to Him. If it's "Deliverer", for example then I will call Jesus and Heavenly Father "My Deliverer" in my prayers and look for ways He/They are that to me each day.
⭐ Second Goal: Is to pray a hymn. One day while listening to hymns I was like "That's a prayer. I wish I could pray like that." So, I've gone through the hymnal and TH-cam subscriber suggestions and picked 24 hymns I would love to model my prayers after. I will be listening to these hymns, praying them and finding ways to incorporate their meanings into my prayer life.
⭐Third Goal: Is to go learn my covenants and "live inside them." In the most basic sense I know what the covenants I've made with Heavenly Father are but in Conference I felt the inspiration to really learn what they are and to incorporate those principles more deliberately in my life. I'll start on this one once I get a handle on the other two.
If you would like to join me in these goals I would be so honored! If you want the lists I've created you can email me and I can send you a digital copy. Thank you for joining me on my journey!

I chose 14-15. You are so right about being compelled to be humble and gaining your faith that way. And I noted that even though they did exercise faith and pray and supplicate the Lord, He did not take away their burdens - he just made them easier to bear, He increased their ability to endure. And that’s how Heavenly Father answers our prayers sometimes. We might pray with faith that He will remove a difficulty from our lives, but He in His wisdom knows sometimes we need those difficulties and He increases our ability to handle them.

Good morning ☀️ Happy Thursday! I picked verse 35. Choosing to be baptized into a new faith, as an adult, takes great faith. You’re leaving behind many principals and beliefs that you once thought was true and giving yourself fully to the mercy of God and His guidance in your life.

I thought that Jesus did give the interpretation of His parables, at least some of them.😊

You know, I don’t like it when someone says the Lord heard their prayers when something good happens. It implies that He does not hear if what we want doesn’t happen.

We all know well I shouldn't say that I've been till nine everybody's like I am so I have to say the point is if you want to know more you have to ask and you have to search and it takes time just like the white coat. To me it's obvious but to others it's not And I think you should realize that he's trying to get you to think just like Jesus is trying to get you to think. Just off the cuff thing not like me and I find it hard communicating sometimes because I assume they're gonna be like me and they're not.
