Thanks for this I understand... 3 generations of my family were jewelers in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter dating back to the 1800's... I had connections up to about 20 years ago with the last two apprentices my father trained who took over the company...all retired and possibly even dead now... Like the song says..."You don't know what you got till its gone" not having any heirs to take over the business from them...they simply...closed the doors. I hope you'll not be offended when I say... Seeing your fingers up close...is like looking at my Dads. He worked till he was in his 70's.
