Women please do not confuse being approached by wealthy men and being chosen. They are two different things. They usually go for what's considered the societal standard. They must be able to take you around their colleagues and to business functions. Being chosen is very slim if you do not fit the standard
Right. They will approach you to sleep with you, but are they proposing marriage? Some women are a mixture of delusional and knowing this and just using this as a flex.
Don’t no man with big money and an are successful want a woman with sleeves of tattoos. They like feminine; clear skin. Take a look of the rich men’s wife and girlfriends. Slim, barely any to none tattoos, short nails. cmon now yall stop being so sensative

I also think Black women should be able to wear their natural hair in a manicured state and that should be fine. As one of the girls mentioned, she wears her hair "presentable" and I think this is what truly matters at the end of the day.
Let’s be real you can be a 10 , fit all the categories that wealthy men supposedly desire and still not get one. You know why bc wealthy men are RARE. A lot of strippers and segg workers have all those things and stay with a rich man taking care of them . They might not be the wife but getting a lot of benefits .
Tatoos and nose rings are a no no but once you start getting to a point when you tell women that straight hair is better than natural and that’s what a certain type of man prefers, the. It’s best to not deal with those men. I would never tell blk women to not wear braid locs, Afros or any natural style to get a man. Love your wool. We been watered down enough. I don’t have locs and never used chemicals and i say we don’t need to put anything else in blk women’s mind to devalue our what’s natural.
It’s not about the locs… it’s how the woman carry themselves. Most of the women who come on here who have lots don’t have a fresh request. Don’t have any mascara lip gloss ect on… and also the attire. A lot of women who wear laps tend to be really, really laid-back all around from the head to the toe
I don’t think we can generalize what all people in a group want … some people are wealthy from selling drugs, books, or candles, they could be entertainers, or social media influencers … there isn’t one way to be wealthy today (gone are the days when wealthy people are from industries like: stock market, anesthesiology, lawyer, tech, etc)… let’s not box people in…
For dreadlocks, let them be well maintained and groomed ALWAYS and preferably smaller in size. No crazy colours. Contrast is key in the sense that when you have dreadlocks, your make up and outfits choice should be classy, traditional, timeless and minimal (think feminine "old money" style) with a slight touch of sensuality. The outfits should scream quality i.e. choice of fabric, cut and fit etc. Wigs are an option for very formal settings. Tattoos that are visible are a no as well as multiple piercings.
All the girls dating or have dated wealthy men. Yet they always screaming that their baby daddies are broke. Only online can you find 8 figure men & women dating wealthy men. 😂
The style is so important in these conversations. Blanket statement locs are not ghetto. Now how you style your loc can be ghetto. But that’s up to the individual. Same with tattoos, you can have very beautiful pieces of art that are hidden and those wouldn’t be considered ghetto tattoos, and you may see a wealthy man with a woman like that. But no, a tramp stamp or a blackout sleeve probably doesn’t give classy
I don’t think many people on here know what wealthy is 😂😂. If you qualify wealth by a man’s 9-5, you are not dating a wealthy man. You’re dating a man with a well paying job.
I think it truly depends on how you carry yourself. I have locs and rwo nose rings and I’m still in school buttt I’m currently dating an older man who doesn’t just have a little money.. he is a MULTI-millionaire and is about to have way even more soon (I haven’t told anyone about this relationship yet! I finally got what I’ve been trying to attract, don’t want it spoiled). I ask for nothing & he spoils me. He’s making my life easier as I finish college and get ready to start my one-year masters program. He’s already setting me up with a business as my graduation gift so I don’t have to work much, and it’s related to something we’re both passionate about :) he loves my locs and he still finds me extremely feminine! I also have the strong interest of another man who works closely with celebrities & is on his way to becoming one too. He’s much younger than the other but he adores my natural aesthetic, especially compared to what he’s around . He spoils me too
Well most men dont like those stuff...except for the dreads. Us black men LOVE a woman with dreads...but like I said, it depends on what Type of man you get. Remember, Wealth dont determine his character and like and attraction. So it is what it is.

@@KaeMaidenI think the point the person you responded to is trying to make is people shouldn’t be trying to “secure wealthy males.” You should be trying to “secure” a person who likes you for you. If they’re wealthy, great. If not, that’s okay too.
With all due respect, your question is too broad based! Wealthy is relative to the community to which this question is raised. A wealthy rapper may love all these things, whereas a wealthy businessman will not!
It's such a broad statement. People can have a discreet nose ring, discreet tatoo, beautiful locks. Anyone can look at themselves know if they look sloppy or not
Wealthy men want a woman that has the trophy wife look. Idk what’s hard to comprehend. The exception to the rule are athletes/rappers/industry execs. Notice they aren’t afraid to date rougher looking women because they grew up with them. An example is the Love Hip Hop women. Also Cardi B, Teyana Taylor. But white collar type businesses, it’s much harder with tattoos/piercings.
Most Sistas's idea of wealthy Black man is a entertainer or athlete, not a corporate or STEM industry man. Many woman THINK they want the wealthy lifestyle...but they wouldn't thrive or enjoy the "conditions & sacrifices" that come with it
This topic is very interesting. I have microlocs and I would love to change the narrative of how women with locs are looked upon in general. More women with locs need to be in main stream media and maybe that would change the narrative of what is "classy or put together". I have been approached and dated wealthy men with my locs as well as with a wig on. But i will have to agree with the other young lady its a lot that comes with that.
Elon Musk had children with Grimes. Go look at her all gothic with locs and tattoos. Conservative wealthy men like a conservative looking female companions, but some don't mind....including politicians...you have to be adaptable and know how to carry yourself appropriately for different circumstances and settings (talking from personal experience).
No disrespect but a software engineer is not wealthy. He’s successful but really just in lower middle class. Wealthy is people making 7 figures or more a year and has a net worth totaling 2.5 million.
I do agree, but also "wealth" is relative to an extent. 5 million (or even 1 mil) is RICH to most people... but not to someone with 100 + million net worth. But I highly disagree that a software engineer is considered LOWER middle class. Not sure if that was a mistake.
Wealthy men come in a variety. There’s tall wealthy men short wealthy men skinny wealthy men fat wealthy men. There’s country wealthy men and corporate wealthy men. Just like how they are looking for something we women are looking for something as well. Just because he has money doesn’t mean he’s a catch. We’re looking for character caring responsible self secured man as well. So once you carry yourself with pride and love yourself and show love real love you’ll get a wonderful partner.
Obviously...but that's not the topic of the conversation. It's about what increases your chances of being with a wealthy man, what these men like. Delving into characters is a different take.
@@KaeMaiden but the truth is that their is no formula to being with a wealthy man. The first step to being with a wealthy man is being around them. Wealthy men are also attracted to intelligence because cute and clean cut, but dumb with no ambition will get you fucked and flewed out or baby momma’d. If you are a loc’d woman and all you’re surrounded by is wealthy men you’ll most likely bag one. Dating and marriage is about proximity not about so fake formulaic nonsense. I can tell from everyone’s background that they don’t know any WEALTHY men and I not trying to be shady but let’s be honest.
Why are people treating locs like that in itself is personal style? It's hair that grows out of your head and if Black people didn't manipulate their hair that's how their hair would grow out. How you style, color maintain your locs is what matters. Your personal style is what matters. I have locs, and I'm dating someone who is financially well off. I maintain my locs, and keep it neat. I also maintain my nails, eyebrows, skin etc. and I don't have any tattoos.
@@Laurennohill No it’s not. It’s MANIPULATED matted hair. You’re guiding it into the style that you want. If you didn’t guide the locs it would be those Freeform locs that you see on people that looks similar to trees. That’s why there’s so many loc styles and sizes.
The reality is even the most beautiful model type women are still single and will most likely remain single and unmarried because the ratio of wealthy men to women isn't equal. The ratio of men to women isn't equal, there's more women globally than men. There's also more women than wealthy men. In America alone only 10% of the men are considered wealthy and majority of them are either White or Asian, and most of those men marry non black women. They may date or sleep with black women but they wouldn't marry them.
Just wanna say, that ratio is not correct. Not sure where that comes from but women do not outnumber men in America or globally. The ratio is nearly equal.
23:00 the only issue casting out the perception that straight hair and wigs is “more aesthetically pleasing” …it’s not… it is more conventional. Both are “aesthetically pleasing”. Straight hair or wigs are just the Western standards of conventional beauty. Again …It’s not “more aesthetically pleasing” …it’s more conventional.
I think the biggest issue here is WHAT KIND OF WEALTHY for example. If we’re Talking hood rappers they will LIKE those locs, piercings and tattoos because it represents their brand/ aesthetic. However if we’re talking OLD MONEY GENERATIONAL WEALTH/ John D. Rockefeller money you HAVE to have a certain look. Clean face and body. Super model thin or a nice curvy hourglass figure. A lot of them also don’t tend to go for plus size women either. They want something CLASSY. Also, wealthy and “making good money” are two different things. That married lady that came on- y’all said she was lying and that took me out 😭. But just because you make near 100k or a little over a year does NOT mean you’re wealthy, you’re just living comfortably.
I think it depends on the type of wealthy man, they are not all boxed into one. Examples include Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz (locks) and together for a very long time before the split. Also Jason Mamoa and Lisa Bonet (Locks). Elon Musk and girlfriend gives goth vibes. The other thing to consider is that we are living during a time where younger millionaires are making breakthroughs…so if we are talking about the old school definition of what wealth looks like and old money, perhaps….but new money and gen x and younger making their mark into wealth, its not going to look the same and it should not.
They don’t know what wealthy is…. It’s not $250,000 or even a million that’s rich but not wealthy… smh.. IT guys are not making a mill or over … Ever one come up here is gonna say yes I dated yeah sure
Us locked ladies shouldn’t feel bad about our locs. Just know wealthy men don’t want us and that’s okay. Go for the average Joe’s. You won’t have the soft life but you can be you. It’s nothing wrong with regular men.
I’m around wealthy men. I have locs. They compliment my hair often and ask why don’t more black women get locs instead of weave. The piercings and tats I agree
You can create the soft life for yourself. No need to wait on some wealthy man to come through and save you. And sometimes there are exceptions to the rule
I think you know what you are talking about. You look like you have a rich guy and plenty of them after you. I have braids, piercings and tattoos. I see why I attracted pharmaceutical distributors. I'm not dating at all now and not interested but I think you make a great point.
I feel like locks are not always bad depending on how you wear them and if they’re very clean, however, a lot of piercings and tattoos are not really desired from what I’ve seen. They tend to like more clean, cut women. Hell a lot of them barely like anything other than a French tip manicure but that’s not something I’m willing to stick with rn at 26 😂
I also think the exception is when a man dates a woman who is already established/rich: For example: Gabourey Sidibe (phat, dark skin, 4C hair) Eve (Tattoos, Piercings, bald, dyed hair) dating a billionaire I’m sure there are more but the few exceptions aren’t the typical majority. They typically like clean cut feminine women.
Eve is married and displays elegance but sometimes she will pop out the tattoo claws from time to time. He obviously loves her regardless and they always seem happy.
10:43 I felt that 😂😂😂 they gone do what they want & the gone get the girl with the clean look then be messing around with the around the way girl 😂can’t win with men
Ashley is just telling people the truth and i recently got microlocs and even I say it's not the type of guy who would go for me. I don't have nose rings, no piercings, no tattoos. Men in these circles tend to go for a very classy woman. That's just how it is.
The only thing I disagree with is the locs/natural hairstyles. I have known many wealthy white men to love these styles and I’m not just saying this. They mostly like them on dark skinned women.
Again. No one said men don’t like natural hair or spoke on texture. We are literally talking about a HAIRSTYLE (Locs specifically) of course men love natural hair but again we’re talking about LOCS….
@@ashleyldalton I really appreciate all the valuable advice you share, and I definitely agree with you on wealthy men not being into tattoos and piercings. I mentioned Locs/Natural hairstyles to cover the whole category, since locs are part of that.
It’s really about privilege stacking. If the rest of you is classy, then locks are welcome. Tattoos are the least wanted. Then peircing. A wealthy white man does not care what a black woman’s hair looks like as long as it’s classically styled. I personally do not like locs. I prefer the classy look however I like my coloured hair. There are many demographics of wealthy men. The ones I’ve dated like a classy look, slim and demure. The younger you are, the more you can get away with.
So, basically, your ability to attract a wealthy man is based on how closely you can get to European standards of beauty. Since wealthy people only account for 1% of the population, why should the average woman care what wealthy men consider to beautiful, when, in all likelihood, you are never going to be anywhere in their vicinity? It is fascinating that these conversations never go beyond the superficial and forward the idea that wealthy men are a monolith.
I am a blk American woman and I don't wear locks, have no tattoos and nose piercing. Does that mean I am trying to look European? The wealthy men are not the 1% they are upper middle class. It's not just money which would be the rich people. Assets, resources and social status. No it's not European standards of beauty it's just a well kept woman.
Why does Ashley keep getting attacked for rules and standards she didn’t create? Come on now we all know what classy is seen as.

I think for a lot of people locs give off a different vibe. A chill, down-to-earth, and earthy vibe. I love locs I used to have them, but if you’re trying to attract wealthy men I can see why the *combination* of locs, tattoos, and piercings wouldn’t be it. They must be able to take you around their colleagues and to business functions. Being chosen is very slim if you do not fit the standard
Right. They will approach you to sleep with you, but are they proposing marriage? Some women are a mixture of delusional and knowing this and just using this as a flex.

Appreciate the shared thoughts on this live. I do think there are exceptions to the rule as Ash mentioned, I have locs myself. I also think Black women should be able to wear their natural hair in a manicured state and that should be fine. As one of the girls mentioned, she wears her hair "presentable" and I think this is what truly matters at the end of the day.
I don’t think any of these women have actual wealthy men. They have high earners or men with good jobs.

Notice that no one that came on, expect for the girl with locs, looked presentable. In terms of hair.
What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? The girl in the black girl who worked at the country club was also presentable.
It’s not about the locs… it’s how the woman carry themselves. Most of the women who come on here who have lots don’t have a fresh request. Don’t have any mascara lip gloss ect on… and also the attire. A lot of women who wear laps tend to be really, really laid-back all around from the head to the toe
As Gordon Ghekko said in the movie, 'Wall Street', rich is making $400K a year and flying first class; wealthy is owning the jet.
Right!! I think people are getting someone "doing well" for themselves and wealthy confused!
@@lesleyannroberts4301Exactly.
Yes!
That lady scared me when she just came up.
I thought I was the only one 😂😂, I moved back from the screen.
She's right!! And I got locs tattoos and a nose ring myself the facts are the facts 😂

The problem is that everyone thinks if they are doing well that they are wealthy.
No disrespect but a software engineer is not wealthy. He’s successful but really just in lower middle class. Wealthy is people making 7 figures or more a year and has a net worth totaling 2.5 million.
Right.

Those people typically do not have any of those ( unusual / multiple piercings , tattoos and or locs )
