It would make my life if you could find a live specimen of the recently extinct gastric brooding frog. They fascinate the hell out of me and it’s such a shame they’re gone. However, I have a sneaky 0.01% feeling that they’re still out there waiting for you to find one.
"Newts, Salamanders, and Frogs...Oh Yeah! Newts, Salamanders, and Frogs...Oh Yeah!" 🎵 We used to sing this song in elementary school as we would adventure through the delta of the Bay Area looking for critters. Brings me back to the good days. ❤
I'd love to see a top 10 wild Felids, canids and venomous insects and arachnids. Great video! Some of these frogs I didn't know about, like the purple frog. Wood frogs are wild! I remember seeing a sequence on one thawing in the Attenborough series A Perfect Planet
Went to a zoo recently, seen all the normal suspects. The things that stayed with me the most was some species of mexican cave fish that adapted to living in the conditions by its eyes essentially being skinned over and unused.
love the list. we got a frog from produce that got shipped to the grocery store my lady works in and had a lil one freezing ao we took him in. a beautiful treefrog in a nice big tank
Maybe top ten bats? They are along with frogs my dad’s favorite animal and fit with Halloween. Especially after Covid they have gotten such a bad rep. Also maybe a top ten under appreciated animals or animals with an unfair reputation
(SC Alaska) Got lots of wood frogs up here, there always fun to see in the spring and summer, we live down in an ancient lake bed with tundra all around and when it's raining they are out hopping around in the wet grass.
Please do a video about reptiles (excluding birds) that take care of their young. Not only egg care like boa constrictors but really young care like butterfly lizards and crocodilians.
Oophaga dart frogs are very cool. When the eggs become tadpoles the female will continue to lay non fertilized eggs to feed them until they can come out of the water on there own
