Jeff D Lowe started a company trivia league during covid. It started as a fun goofy zoom thing and grew into massive live events and board games and a website. It became a genuinely large brand.
One of the best players in the league traded himself to another team that was already pretty solid. Shades of durant to the warriors. Now the rest of the league, spearheaded by CEO Dave Portnoy, is bitching that Jeff D Lowe allowed this trade to happen and ruined the league. Dave wants to start his own trivia league.
Jeff D Lowe likes the attention of the controversey but realistically it would be pretty fucked up for the CEO to torpedo a highly recognized brand. But dave really isnt that stupid. He's just driving clicks during a slow news time.

During Jerry’s live stream the chat tricked Jerry into giving a shoutout happy birthday to somebody. The name put together sounded like a racial slur and it completely ruined the rest of the stream. That’s why jerry wasn’t excited to get his goal

It’s very profitable if you have patience. It takes time for their value to increase. They are investments, just like art work. Cards that were auctioned 20 years ago go for 20x or more nowadays, so implying they aren’t profitable at all is a total joke
