Interesting but I would be concerned about the route for the air into the engine and the location of the injectors that point away from the valve heads. With this set up the air has to negotiate a chicane from the throttle bodies to the valves that will both slow the air mass and cause turbulence. The only way the injectors work is to spray fuel at the opposite side of the port and not with the airflow and down to the valve. Whilst there will be mixing of the fuel air it will create an untidy entry into the head. It would be interesting to see how much airflow and horsepower is lost by these mods. Also, I understand the inventive use of the oil filler neck but acquiring 4 of them to use in this application will be a PITN especially as Imp engines are now at least 40-60 yrs old.

I am a little older than you, 74 to be precise but I have run Imps and a Clan from 1970's till the late 1980's and I am now going to rebuild the Clan yet again. So please keep posting stuff, it will help me a lot as I have bought that BMW K1100/K100 kit. But steer clear of the K100 8 valve engines, I am told the splined big end bolts are not available, Peter.
