its the fantasy man lol we know they don't really have a thing but its the idea of they're both attractive within the age range usually of the fans who ship them example I'm 23 prior to September I was the same age as Hawks, and I'm still only 3 years older than shigaraki in s1 and maybe 2 years as of s5 so like it makes it a lot easier to ship them because we see them and project our ideas of what happens behind the scenes. It's like how any brony can tell you Lyra and Bon Bon never actually had romance in the show until AFTER the fans shipped it and made them lesbians but then at the end of the show they thanked the audience by canonizing their marriage in a newspaper easter egg.

i think the reason they don't talk to each other is because they have nothing to talk about lol. "so... killing people." "mhm." "for a better society. and because we're angry." "that's the plan, yeah." "...cool. great." "yeah. good talk."
But they can bond over their lack of a proper father figure and why they have daddy issues and went for the two worst role models ever! Also they both had siblings in their previous “life” so they can talk about how it feels to be in the league where they are practically acting like the older siblings to the rest of them. They’d have a lot more to talk about if they were actually a little more vulnerable with each other. They both also have quirks that are self destructive. They could probably complain about it over some drinks. It would be fun to see them interact more casually but I don’t think we ever will.
As amazing as this was, that insert of Deku and Kacchan also made my day 😭 I missed their Radio shows so muchhhh Daiki and Okamoto, as well as the characters they voice, have incredible chemistry as usual
