      Ian Corzine always is tentative 🤦‍♀️ it sure makes editing a TON easier if nothing else! Allows you to at least trouble shoot.
      Thanks for watching!!

    Amanda, I absolutely love these tips. I had a speaking engagement a few weeks ago. I brought my camera, but didn't know what the heck to do. I'm definitely using your tips for next time.

    Amanda, these are awesome tips and so simply organized. I love it! I'm looking to upgrade to a DSLR so I'm happy you'll be making more videos for that.

    Such a cool video! I loved your 5 part plan. Makes so much sense but I think a lot of videographers would miss that!

      yeesss, it may seem intuitive but it definitely takes many failures before you learn to now just "wing it"

    Great video! The story is key and your examples are extremely helpful. A well-stabilized iPhone is great. Just learn the limitations of your gear and how to troubleshoot them prior to the event.

    This was really helpful - I need to get better at planning ahead! I've been very happy with the iPhone Xs, especially when mounted on a gimbal. Would love to see a more in depth comparison of the two cameras you used for the event, thanks!

      @@AmandaHorvath Yes, I was supposed to go next week, but it was just postponed to early fall. It's a global event for the company (X4 Summit - Qualtrics) and as we are going to have just few people from Brazil participating, my idea was to share the highlights with videos, interviews and Instagram stories.
      I have never done this before, so your tips are huge light in the tunnel for me! :)

    Cool... I love the story sequencing, one story multiple sequences... chapters to a book if want! I think that all branding and thus marketing should be aligned with the business... they should have the same feel... if a business is fun,cool and neat, will then your vids should be the same and the iPhone works great... there’s a point in your business’s growth when you go to the next level and so should your equipment... and when you get to the next level again, it’s time for professionals (like you) to take over... the business’s clients can tell and will see the growth... strengthening the bond! Awesome! Cheers!

    • @AmandaHorvath
      @AmandaHorvath  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Switzer's Nursery & Landscaping yes!! Chapters in a book is a great way to look at it. And as you pay attention through out your day - you can start to pick out how different parts of your day could be shot using the story sequences. It helps to train your eye without even needing to pick up a camera!
      I agree - there is definitely a time and place to upgrade to higher quality gear or video content. I just think people use it as an obstacle to get started when they shouldn’t be. I think this video really illustrates that point.
      Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!!

    Girl your editing rocks! What do you use to edit?

    • @AmandaHorvath
      @AmandaHorvath  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tara Wagner thank you!! I use premiere pro :) it’s honestly WORTH the upgrade. So much frustration comes from using software that isn’t professional because it’s limited in what you can do - which ends up being less intuitive than professional editing software. what are you using?

    • @TaraWagner
      @TaraWagner 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AmandaHorvath We debated between Premiere and Final Cut, but went with FC because we're pretty tired of monthly subscriptions. 😂

    • @AmandaHorvath
      @AmandaHorvath  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TaraWagner I DO NOT blame you. The monthly subscription is a pain for sure. FCP is great too. There are still lots of templates you can use with that which is a HUGE time saver so if you haven't already, consider looking into those :)

    Great Video, How do clients react when you pull out an Iphone to shoot with?

  • @4CardsMan
    @4CardsMan 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    The continuous camera movement is amateurish and distracting. Moving the camera does not make the content more interesting.
