The deferral schedule for Tommy Edman was just released and the present value of the contract is 65.2M. Edman at a 13M AAV is really worth it with his defensive versatility.
The Dodgers are most likely going to trade Lux/Outman and re-sign Teoscar. Teoscar, Pages, and Rushing will be almost all the ABs in the corner OF. Edman will be in CF, Mookie will be at 2B, and they will target either Adames or Kim in FA. Dodgers would be smart to target young prospects in these trades to help negate the CBT draft pick losses.

Let me say this again: the 2024 Giants are the first Giants ballclub that I have ever seen straight GIVE UP. And they did it in JULY when they traded the great Jorge Soler- a man that has been torn apart relentlessly by the local concierge media I guess because he didn't literally hit 40-45 HRs. AS A GIANTS FAN THIS HONESTLY FELT LIKE A SEASON THAT NEVER HAPPENED. And while we are on the subject the only other Giants team that I ever saw that- for all intents and purposes- basically lay down had to be the 2000 Giants which led to the end of the Giants careers of Bill Mueller and Marvin Bernard and Shawn Estes. Look people: the 2000 N.L.D.S. was a goddamn disaster and this 2024 Giants team makes the 2000 team look like Hoosiers Gene Hackman. Gross as hell, brother.
