I can’t believe how marvelously trained they are.
I wish that I could say the same thing for sister (from another mother!) sable GSD who’s also my fur-nephew! I’m suddenly PETRIFIED of him, despite how much I LOVE him! Here’s the situation:
I was over at her house today, and we took him to a HUGE soccer field to play! We brought a BUNCH of his FAVOURITE toys including two rubber chickens that I purchased for him!
As I was about to toss one of his rubber balls so that he could fetch it, he jumped on me and almost knocked me down! Luckily, I was standing firm and have a HUGE BRUISE on the side of my left leg but the area is throbbing like CRAZY!
I am now, EXTREMELY afraid to play with him, nonetheless EVEN be AROUND HIM! He’s NEVER done this before!
It really doesn't require much "training", just don't let them eat from a table when they are puppies and they learn it pretty much naturally. None of our 7 dogs ever took anything from a table. Or anywhere else for that matter without permission. Just teach them boundaries when they are still young and they get it pretty naturally.
Liked how each gets a donut but leaves it till released then they're off, let the eating begin ! Some happy pups.

Yeah, they are great dogs but I think the most important reason they’re so great is because they’re well trained.

@Laura Kruk they can be rambunctious, that's for sure. Especially when it comes to rubber chickens!
@@adawn9291 I mean, this has to have been the best 5$ I’ve EVER spent on him! Yes, you read correctly, I got the PAIR of them for 5$ plus tax! HE JUST LOVES those chickens! Read this:
My “sister” and I were cleaning up before leaving, and we had JUST SET down the toy bag for a moment, so that we could brush him. He started digging through the bag and pulled out one of the chickens, and started biting it! I mean..!?
I also play another game (that I came up with!) with him at his place, with the same chickens! I call it Get the Chicken!” The goal is for him to bring me back the chicken after I toss it, all while learning to associate the word “chicken” to those toys.

@@laurakruk4692 sounds like he needs a little training I think he was just over excited but should be trained not to jump on people. It's a behavioral thing. But totally understand why you feel that way *hugs*
I too think it’s just over excitement 😍 I knocked mom down once and I’m a retired k9- very well trained. Sometimes we big 🐕 can’t help ourselves. But if you are fearful , I would suggest perhaps someone else hold the toys for a while until you feel confident 💙
Those dogs were very impressed by this project. They followed every step very closely.
