I absolutely love the Mindset series! I use the Perfect Mindset as my benchmark ball. I'm trying to decide on a good layout for my Mindset solid right now. And I hope to grab an Intense Mindset in the future. Another great video!
I like to manipulate my bowling balls so I always go weaker. except on the last couple. and they all have been really good bowling balls!! So maybe a little stronger than usual?
@XInThePit Sounds like a good plan to me. Also, thank you for the suggestion to polish my Venom Black! It doesn't hook at all for me, but it FINALLY has a predictable motion that I can live with. It's still my lowest scoring ball, with a new high of 161, but I think I will now be able to improve with it. I was just getting ready to sell it or see if the PSO had some kind of buy-back program, but now I'm feeling a bit more hopeful!
@@GrumpaBaggins the black venom has a strong cover on it so if you want more shape just hit it with a 4 k pad. But I like mine with just a little polish on it

Someone explained to me yesterday that the VB doesn't have a hockey stick backend, but instead is more of an initial reaction when first thrown and a more continuous overall arc. I was looking for a hockey stick reaction since that is what I had requested the day I bought the ball. After watching more reviews, it looks like he probably should have suggested the Supra series, but he suggested the VB, Shock, Forge, and Blue Coral Venom. But then he grabbed the VB right after and said, "Let's start with this one.", so I took his advice.
Honestly James I have never even considered the Mindsets. Looks like that was in error on my part. To be honest I don't know anyone in league that throw Brunswick specific. Now after seeing you throw this bad boy I will not overlook the Brunswick brand options. Good stuff James.
Hammer Effect is a big pearl!! I think the mindset is a little more controllable and forgiving. I put the Effect right below the harsh reality pearl!! so top 4 Asymmetrical goes: 1. intense Mindset 2. harsh reality Pearl 3. Hammer Effect 4. Dna Coil.
These guys are in great shape. They've got balls.

@@XInThePit someone also thought that the 3.5" in the 58 x 3 ½ x 53 layout might be unstable. Do you think 3.5" is a bad option for Motiv balls?
