These guys were one the most important band of my teenage years in the 1980s. I wore my cassette tapes out and had to buy them several times just because I listened to the so much. Very happy to hear them going strong and still sounding great, almost 40 years later.
Yay! And filming back in their hometown of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. This video looks like is a tribute to their Burning In Love video. My second ever concert was Honeymoon Suite with Helix in 1985 at the Pierrefonds, Quebec, Canada Hockey arena. Rock On!
This is more than honeymoon suite I'm used to. The last album didn't really connect with me but they're still a great band. they should have been so much bigger back in the day. The album The Big Prize is one of the the best rock albums from that era. It still holds its own.
I truly enjoyed this entire album! It's not often I listen to an album where I enjoy every song on it. While Honeymoon Suite's debut album was also enjoyable, this one has a much more mature sound to it that has come with experience and time.
I thought the same thing. In 2018, I was on the Picton, Ontario and I remembered the Band filming the start of their Wave Babies at same location and sang a few lyrics of the song.
Just wanted to post again on this incredible song.. A few months ago, I almost died - twice - from a rare blood infection.. During my long recovery, I had many doctor visits and wasn't sure if I was going to completely recover and I got very depressed, even though my amazing wife of 32 years was by my side the whole trip and so very supportive.. .. I was just down on myself and my medical condition and could not see the sunlight through the clouds.. But then I heard this song and watched the video.. And it reminded me that I was STILL the same person deep down, and that this time would pass... It also reminded me of the love and support that I was surrounded by... I did not want to 'wash away', and I realized that my wife and family did not want me 'wash away' either.. This song woke me up, and made me want to feel ALIVE again!!! As I said in an earlier post, I have been a huge fan of Honeymoon Suite for decades.. I realize I might have the lyrics completly backwards - it was probably meant as a song about a guy trying to prevent an impending breakup! LOL.. But music and lyrics are beautiful because they can be understood in so many ways by so many fans in so many different situations!!! Maybe this song is something my wife could have sung to me when I was very sick and facing a long climb back up that mountain.. That nothing in this world would make her give up on me, even when I wanted to give up on myself... I don't know.. But I wil say this - THIS song from Honeymoon Suite - one of my all time favorite bands - may very well have saved my life during a very dark and scary time in my life - AND given me a REMINDER of the love that surrounds me and the joy of being ALIVE!!!!!
The song Alive really makes it very nice! Listening to these good lyrics, It's as if I'm letting go anything holding me back & go out! :) Good instrumentals & vocals! The video is pretty nice to me! Way to go!
These guys are legends. The new stuff is a breath of fresh air. Absolutely rock to Racing after midnight and the Under the bed albums. God bless Honeymoon suite!

Definitely one of the best Canadian bands for sure. This new album kicks major ass. Better than most shit out there these days. Should be constantly on the radio but we all know classic rock stations betrayed older bands by not letting giving their new material a chance to grow and influence younger audiences. Long live honeymoon suite.
