Meet the BLIND SUPERFAN who's been to 27 MLB stadiums

- How does a man with 10 percent vision in one of his eyes experience a baseball game? Can he see the players or follow the ball? His name is James, and I spent an entire day with him at Nationals Park in Washington D.C.
We entered the stadium as soon as the gates opened, wandered all around the outfield seats to try to snag a baseball, and eventually got hooked up by a groundskeeper and a couple of coaches on the San Francisco Giants -- and that was just the start of a VERY fun and solid day at the ballpark.

That's right. As we established at the start of the video, James has a little bit of vision in one eye and CAN see things, but it's rather difficult for him.

15:05 --- Actually, James is correct. I looked it up in the official baseball rule book and in rule 9.24(b) it states : "The Manfred Mann rule is when the team puts a runner at second base during a tie game. The base runner MUST start singing -- "Doo wah diddy diddy dum diddy doo' , otherwise the runner is out."

Awesome! As a person who is disabled himself who loves baseball it is nice to see such passion as I have for the game of baseball! Baseball is one of the things in my life that has helped me make a lot of friends! Glad you two had fun and enjoyed the game in DC!

We appreciate the videos. My seven-year-old boy found you on youtube and I have been watching your videos and he has become obsessed with baseball. We recently went to a baseball game where we caught a foul ball by Kyle Lewis. He has been begging to go since then. We watched your videos and got some good tips. on 6/17/21 we went to the Mariners vs. Rays game. Here were the highlights. First fans in the stadium, 6 balls, got to be the "Play ball" kid, met the Moose, and got a signed baseball from Brett Phillips. The bar is set pretty high now hopefully we can continue to share great experiences in the future. I doubt you make it out to Seattle often but would love to catch a game with you if you are ever in the area.

I too am legally blind one thing I do bring to the stadium is a pair of powerful binoculars and a radio unfortunately radio is All Digital and there's a delay between when a ball is hit and when you hear the call on the radio it's about six seconds unfortunately
That delay is annoying, but glad you're still getting out there to games.

I live in Sandy, Utah. I have never been to a Major League Baseball game, before, but it is my dream to attend one, one of these days. Salt Lake City, Utah has a Triple A Baseball Team in The Pacific Coast League, and they are The Salt Lake Bees, and their parent team are The Los Angeles Angels. If I ever do attend a Major League Baseball Game, then it will probably be to watch The Arizona Diamondbacks, because from what I know, their stadium is the closest stadium to any international airport, in The United State, than any other Major League Baseball Stadium, plus on the airline tickets are a reasonable price for me. If I do that, this year, then I would probably most likely do that on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. I would maybe by tickets for The Southwest Airlines Flight Number 4916, from Salt Lake City, Utah to Phoenix, Arizona which will be from 8:55 a.m. MDT to 9:35 a.m., MST, and then I would go to The Arizona Diamondbacks Baseball Game on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, which will start at 12:40 p.m., where they will be playing against The San Diego Padres at Chase Field, in Phoenix, Arizona, and then after the game, then I would catch Southwest Airlines Flight 4132 from Phoenix, Arizona to Salt Lake City, Utah which will be from 8:35 p.m., MST to 11:05 p.m., MDT. The cost per seat, for each one of those two Southwest Airlines Flights as of right now, (Monday, June 21, 2021), at 6:00 p.m., MDT, is only $59.00, but I would need to buy 2 seats, for me, since I am over weight, and at the game, I would buy a seat that is on an isle, worth no more than $45.00 but no less than $19.00. I will only do this if my parents approves of this. I love airplanes. I also sports. If anyone of you, who reads this comment, especially the people who live in or near Sandy, Utah, would be interested in doing this with me, you would need to pay for your own plane tickets and game tickets, and pay for your own food and transportation, and I would pay for myself, for that stuff, but I don't drive, so I would need to get a ride from my house to the airport, with you or someone, or I would need to catch the bus and train from my house to the airport, and then in Phoenix, I or we would need to find out what the best sort of transportation would be to get to the stadium from the airport and from the airport back to the stadium which would be hopefully no more than $20.00 per way. Yes, James is correct. The Colorado Rockies is the closes MLB team to Salt Lake City. It is approximately 500 miles from Salt Lake City to Denver. The next closest is Phoenix, approximately 700 miles from Salt Lake City.

James is correct, Coors Field is 517 miles (Google) from Salt Lake City. However, if Vegas ever gets a team it would be closer at 421 miles.
"The Manfred Man" Rule - LOL - My take, Zack (and i think you will agree with me), is that MLB has essentially put a "timer" on an untimed game by putting a runner on second base. Also, the 7 inning games during double headers is a load of crap as well. I buy a ticket to a baseball game, I want to spend as long as I can at the stadium and watching baseball.
