when a reviewer talk about a camera, they should record using that camera. NOT hold the camera and using other camera to record. show more footages instead of yourself talking too much in front of other camera
@benjhaisch that 2.8 apeture and pure video mode makes it perfect for talking head videos. If you get the white balance right and distance the camera is perfect for stuff like talking head vdeos.
@@headspace69 you *can* use it but that’s not its primary purpose. f/2.8 is fast but not on such a small sensor. Most phones would be a better option as a talking head shot anyway, plus the Ace Pro doesn’t have autofocus or any other focus other than the default, making some distances to camera not possible. FWIW, I have the Ace Pro 2 and a full channel of videos in case you’re curious of my perspective:
Thanks for the review. I got the GoPro Hero 12 creator package a few days ago. I also like the richer image from the GoPro during daytime better than Ace Pro. I'm currently debating whether I should return it to get the Action 4 or Ace Pro instead. However, I'm concerned that the Ace pro is having a focusing problem based on some YT reviewers. I just can't put up with Gopro's trashy image quality in low light situation considering I'll be doing in car talk and install videos. Additionally, it takes an eternity for gopro to recharge.
I've heard about the focus issue and have had other questions about it. I find I'm in focus up to about 1 foot away when filming myself, so holding it at arms length has no problems.
I’m actually in the exact same boat, I have a GoPro hero 12 which I love in good lighting and sunny conditions but I’m looking for something that will be useful in lower light. Did you end up getting another camera and if so, may I ask, which one did you chose?
I remember GoPro used to be the thing... would you say that Insta360 and its products have basically eclipsed that? This product looks pretty amazing for getting some awesome, professional-looking videos. I think I've seen people make some interesting near cinema-quality video shorts using this camera before (as well as yourself).
Yeah, I think Insta360 is definitely directly competing with GoPro now. I haven't had a lot of experience with GoPros but from what I've seen they are fairly similar. Might be a bit of mac/pc type preference at this point.
Im used to filming gopro 12 5.3k 30 street performing for 2 hours non stop attached to power bank, had no problems... filming to 8k would acepro be o.k to film non stop like that?
The camera's lens cover IS REMOVABLE.. just about everyone already knows about this by now, or at least so I thought. Just twist it counter-clock wise and comes out. Also there are already lots of available third-party lens cover replacements, including with plain glass, UV filters, +1 up to +10 close-up adapters, CPLs and more.
You're right, you can take it off yourself, however since it's not officially meant to be removed it will void your warranty. Although I believe Insta360 offers a free replacement in the first year if it's damaged. Thanks for sharing that!!
Im so used to gopro, again had it since 8 and used ther door to plug it into power bank for dash cam on my bike, very good in even very heavy rain... does ace pro have this or third party have it?
Another great video, thanks. I really want to purchase this camera for general vlogging but lots and lots of people say that it just does not focus properly on faces. You can’t put it very close, it need to be a good 4 feet away at least for it to focus? And if you are wanting to film close ups on anything at all it just doesn’t work. Did you find this at all? This camera is perfect for what I want it for apart from this focusing issue. I’ve heard that they are aware and have possibly updated something on the newer models but this is definitely not confirmed. Have you purchased yours recently? Have you experienced any of these issues? Many thanks 👍
@@NickKendall I heard that the new models might be better at focusing? No official word on that from what I can see. I know that all action cams are a bit like this with focussing but this one seemed to be worse from what I read. Do you think it’s a good day to day general vlogging camera?
I actually prefer the adapter that comes with the camera rather than the camera have a quarter inch thread. I have bought extra adapters and I’ve fitted these with long screws and washers to various points as right onto the Toyota logo on the car front and to a point on my Honda scooter 🛵 and my bicycle, no messing about now just fit the camera and the adapter fits so easily to selfie sticks etc etc another thing I like about the adapters are you can play with angles
did you notice that the treatment of the screen allows viewing of the screen only with upright if polarized glasses are used? strange choice since the attachment does not allow the camera to rotate. Translated: if you do a vlog and mirror yourself wearing polarized glasses you will see the screen black, but if it was possible to put it upright (for 9:16 es uses) no. But as we know it was not born for "vertical" videos but only "horizontal" ones.
Wait, you don’t get paid for your review…. But your channel gets something for us purchasing using the affiliate link…. But it’s okay because we get an accessory from your help in selling us the Ace Pro? 🤔
I've never understood people who were given a camera to use for a day and then this person teaches people how to use it, but he himself has no idea about its properties or how to shoot. It's the same as buying socks and showing them how you put them on. Tell me why you do this? For the hype?
I Regret buying the insta 360 ace pro it's video quality is mere garbage looks worse then my phone that i purchased 4 years ago and don't even ask me about the picture quality of this camera i don't know how much is insta 360 ace pro is paying the youtubers but certainly the youtubers need to get unsubscribed and blocked for such fake reviews that promotes a product which doesn't perform as good as they say it would
Hmm that's strange! Can I ask what mode you were shooting in and then how you exported the footage? It could just be you might have been using the wrong settings. If you like the footage shown in this video then that might be your problem as I didn't enhance the footage examples at all. :)

all link is to insta360 web page and you say your honest rewiev !? no respect your follewer we get it you are cheap
When the acepro 2 is out can u have a link for that so i can use it?
when a reviewer talk about a camera, they should record using that camera. NOT hold the camera and using other camera to record. show more footages instead of yourself talking too much in front of other camera
Almost all reviewers are NOT like him 😂
These cameras aren’t made for indoor talking head type of videos though…

Is it good for long distance videos n pictures? Like watching a sporting event recording

Good question, in my experience it focuses from about 1 foot away. So I've had no issues with vloging. Hope that helps!

Good question! That would be more to do with the glasses; you'll probably notice the same effect on other screens you use. :)
Thanks for your professional review, which camera can take Video/Photo simultaneously like ex-GoPro 6
It has the ability to not see the selfie stick like in x3? The invisible selfie stick?
Unfortunately you will see the selfie stick since it doesn't shoot in 360.
@@NickKendall oh i see. Thank you so much. :)
Insta has a one year free repair replace policy for lens with any ace pro purchase. Downside you have to send it in.
Correct!
thanks for the review. can it shoot upside down?
It sure can! :)
thanks for the review
No problem! :) Thanks for watching!
I don't know what to get anymore, torn between this and insta360 go3 just for cooking vlog (tiktok and reels)
Hmm, yeah tricky choice!
Thanks for the review.
Thanks for watching!
Excellent video. Thank you
Thanks for watching! :)
10:48 you really think they could not figure out a waterproof lens cover? xDDD
Best of luck. Loves from Bangladesh
Thanks! :)
Yo! This is sick!!!
Right! :D

The "cons" are just nothing, this is the best camara around.
It's my favourite Insta360 camera ;)

the lens is removable and replaceable. You can order an aftermarket lens.
Technically you can yes, but it will void your warranty since it's not officially supported by Insta360 :)
