The vigil is looking like it's going to be one of the best entry level ratting frigates at this rate. Running dual painters could help strike cannons land smash hits from quite the distance at optimal range.
If you activate TP and Artillery guns at the same time, like you select both of them while you are still locking to the target, does the TP effect applies before guns hit all the time? Or does it depend on luck?
@@captainbenzie Ty for the reply but does that mean even if you pre-select your TP and your Guns while your are locking, there is a possibility thay they do not become active at the same server tick?
Seems like in addition to webs, TPs will serve as another way to apply more damage to frigates, especially faction frigates which are disgustingly powerful right now.
@@txmale1977 they do, but only drop in the special Halloween anomalies wich will be introduced next maintenance. They will be regular available 2 weeks after, when the balance patch will hit.
You did not explain if these stack, if there are stacking penalties, if they do stack where does the target painter effect start working at, all apply their effect to the base or second or third apply their effect to the previously increased signature radius?
I imagine that these would go great on a stabber fit for long range combat. I'm doing story missions and rarely use my mids. I bet a target painter would make it easier for me to hit at 70+km. Currently I orbit at around 50 and I'm surprised if I get hit in the first few waves of an encounter
Things to precise : Even if they stacks , they have like all modules a stack penalty. Past 5 Target painters applied on the same target , it will almost do nothing more.

hey cpt benzie i was doing T7 anomalies easily in my slasher II but lately it became hard maybe cuz of the patches is there any frigate that doesn't suffer against T7 anomalies i am flying frigate mainly
Everyone is overestimating the dmg increase that target painters will give. Especially with regards to missles. The problem is that increasing a frigates signature radius from 30-40 or even to 50 will do very little dmg increase because most of the dmg is being lost to its speed which far exceeds the explosion velocity of missles.
You are wrong, if you look up at the exact missile dmg equation, the Main value taken is the sig radius. The velocity is quite secondary and will even be completely ignored if the target radius is way more than the missile radius.
@@sethaaades you are wrong and need to up your algebra skills if thats your understanding of the formula. I've already crunched the numbers and speed is way more impactful to the dmg taken than sig radius is (for missles) for turrets signature radius is arguably alot better tho. Heres how you should know you are wrong - if signigure radius was sooo important and speed doesnt matter much- then microwarpdrives would be terrible for frigs to use because it literally increses sig radius by 5X. But in reality a mcwd frigate speed demon is very hard to dmg with missles because of their speed exceeding explosion velocity by such a great margin.
@@sam8922 Well , here is some documentation for you with the precise equations : wiki.eveuniversity.org/Missile_mechanics Then I need to tell you I play EVE since 2006 and I can affirm this is not how you said it works. Concerning the MWD the thing is it will make you take MORE damage because the sig increase completely anihilate the speed parameter. At best it will stay the same DMG on special ships with MWD sif menalty reduction, I let you do some tests on your own. The only thing where you are right is on turrets, angular velocity is way more important, missiles are different tho.
Not just missles lasers too iv tested this mwd vs ab I took alot more dmg per hit from the same rang. sig raid is broken the mommet you get any sig duff buff its a huge diff in how you take dmg

Keep these coming for all new modules please - thanks Captain!
I love that they made it one skill for all of these new modules. Also I can't wait to put one of these on my stabber
This is gonna be great for missile boats especially long range once.
Can't wait for these to come it to the main game!😃😃

Have you consider to do a fitting video on the manticore under caldari state ship tree?
Does it work with lasers?
Would like to see a video about logistics ships (osprey) and combo with a guardian :)

Is there a T8 Drone/Laser/armour tank option for the future?
Are these arriving October 28?
yes
No, they are coming in November, probably 1st or 2nd week

Does target painter help with drones?
Does a TP help drones hit their target and what about close range weapons pls?

Yes.

There goes my dream of one shoting frigs with a single large torpedo (wich is probably bigger than the frig itself) :(
