I grew up playing golf at Kirkcudbright just a few miles along the Galloway coast but always loved playing Southerness - one of my favourite courses!
This is exactly the content we want to see Andy.Too many channels out there doing club reviews,ball reviews.The average golfers like us want to see on course experiences and quality of a good day out.Please more of the same.
That was an absolute pleasure to watch. Beautiful course done justice with some great camera work, even under the tough lighting and articulated in every sense of the word. What an great little golf trip. Cant wait to see more.

The absence of hype, clickbait and shouty look at me commentary is both welcome and refreshing. The production values are god tier, I don't know where you learned these skills but they are up there with anything that the professionals produce, and I don't mean Golf Professionals, I mean SKY / BBC etc. Just a golfer in love with the game and it's surroundings and it shows as the course becomes the star performer. If you like this style I don't think it gets any better. Massive congratulations to everyone involved. - Mark

I agree Andy - the 12th is the best hole on the course. That turn towards the green and the Solway Firth behind it is magical. A really tough hole especially the approach with the two bunkers on the right and the knoll on the left. But the walk up to the green is special. We played it on a very windy day and it was tough. The elevated tee box on the 13th gives the best view of the course and that is why I'm going Tracy c for my fav photo. I'd love to play the course again in calmer conditions. A really special, old school links experience. A great video that bought back a lot of wonderful memories. Thanks!

What a great video Andy! Superb camera work to really encapsulate southerness and the views. Looks an ace place to be and to play golf. So want to visit there now. Tracy-C was the best photo but Andy -D pushed it close. A couple of questions for you:
1) what was the background music playing from 6.00-9.30ish?
2) what was the name of the lodge and where is it?
This reminds me of your Royal Bled video from a couple of years ago I suppose. These sorts are great as they capture the golf but also the local color. Nice work

Brilliant video Andy. As an average golfer to another average golfer it is so relatable to watch a brilliant golf break away.
If you ever want to do a match versus a subscriber I play Holywell golf course quite a few times during the year I’m convinced you are better than you give yourself credit for, I’d love to give you a game!

Well Andy, I am definitely loving the series name. Some of the best golf memories I have had were from golf courses that were "Off the Beaten Track". That would be a great question for your subscribers, what is your favorite off the beaten track golf adventure.

Absolutely beautiful work, I really like your style and I so wish I could be out there on those courses instead of locked in my office. Impossible to pick a favourite picture but you can see that you have different styles and Tracy's edge the bet slightly for me, but you do have golf to focus on too trying to get two great shots 😜

I enjoy the new format. The Rev. Billy Graham said that “A golf course is an island of peace in a world often full of confusion and turmoil.” Carry a half-set of clubs, enjoy being outdoors and being in control of what happens ( well sort of as this is golf).

Great to see a review of my home course. Slightly biased perhaps, but its a super course and a great test of golf ... from the whites on a windy day, theres not many tougher imo. Andy A best photo for me.

Played there about 15 years ago on the way home from Stranraer. It was blowing a hooley and the rain was hamering. We were the only 12 players on the course. I managed 7, yes 7, stableford points and I was off 8 then. By the way the photo - has to be Tracy C
Your pot bunkers are brutal. Some gorgeous pictures. Glad you spared us the speedo image. Hope you did get to enjoy the hot tub. Golf in November is always a treat for us here in New Hampshire. I am recouping from hip replacement and can't wait to get back on the course. i enjoyed this as I do all your videos Andy.

Great film .. everyone is called to the quiet beauty of the countryside.. away from the modern madness of everyday urban life..creating a platform that takes them there to ease the urban life existence is a great way forward.. I run in the mountains to get the same feelings we enjoyed as a more primitive but wholesome race we once where.. God bless the average golfer..💙

There's another gem of a course not far from Southerners, check out Lochmaben GC, not a links so definitely at it's best in summer but it drains so well that it's still a great track all year round. For 2 years me and two friends travelled the 1hr 20 mins from central Scotland to play every Sunday, great times.

I love the new format, it’s nice to watch. Hope we still get reviews and an average golfer view of golf “stuff” too. That’s what made your channel special, don’t lose that USP. The beautiful videos are amazing, if it makes you happy to produce then great, but I’d watch if was still back in a driving range too like olden days 👍🏻

He has a beautiful presentation style, you would probably like his content. If you’ve not seen it before, consider giving it a look.

Terrific video! It comes down to Andy a versus Tracy c and d. Tracy seems to have an excellent eye! All 4 of her photos were beautiful.
Tracy C was the best shot, balance of sky and land plus foreground was in balance, too much sky spoils the shot IMHO, even though it was a nice blue sky. Still, they all reinforce good memories to treasure. Great content Andy, nicely edited with great music to lift it to another level. Well done, both of you. A great advert for Southerness, they will be very happy.
