Brings back memories, thanks. I grew up 3 streets up and surfed it every day. I have pictures of when those pylons were much higher and in 1983 it was 8-10...it made my heart smile to see this again. The crowds were always there, but before Surfline, if you lived close you get surf it for hours with just a handful of guys, one time ( I have pictures) just 2 friends and I before school at Bishop. Thanks again for the trip down memory lane.
I'd say 2-3 ft old school waves, which is 5-7 ft new school wave face, which sounds cooler ( I guess ) but you do know about Hag's, I'll give you that. Good clean video.
Surfing here is very stressful. Take off zone is packed with 6 people. And if you burn or get burned, there's a fair chance of injury to surfer and/or board. Oddest thing is that I would frequently hear people bragging about how many years they'd surfed here. "I've been surfing here for 3 years, bro!" "Yeah, well I've been surfing here for 5 1/2!" "You all suck! I've been surfing here for 12 years!" Beautiful wave, though, and if you get one, it feels great.
Hmm. I'd say there are five. You have Exiles at the very top, and Rat Point at the very bottom. Negative tide on a huge west, Rat Point on the left you can get a few cutbacks in before it joins up with the beach break, so I'd call that a semi reef. Usually completely punchless, but not always. Exiles is just more of Upper Hags type potlholed walls, but a little further up.
I used to surf Haggerty back in the day when it got huge, Reese Patterson would sit way on the outside and catch bombs all the way through the inside.

Did you go to Malaga Cove?
The bay boys are absolutely shredding
Everybody is burning each other so casually, it’s wild

Small wave madness at it finest.
Looks fun.
I thought that was Santa Cruz with all that seaweed.
Do a quickie on La Jolla Shores next!
We'd funnelade lemons at those guys 40 years ago before school. Good times
This one's mine, No it's not i'm waiting for this wave all day
In 1960 this place was fun. longboards and no leash. This place was never very good, just fun and a novelty.
Fighting over 2 - 3 feet waves. Whatever.
My mother in law surfs there she is a professional wrestler, also.
Whomever the guy with the green board is, he’s shredding!!!
At 7:00 he should have pulled in to that little barrel!
😅😅😅
Are those waves fron that storm in the pacific.ty nice video

This is an east-coast swell
Every time someone does position themselves right someone else is claiming the wave in the whitewash chasing down the next guy so sad
I can feel the bad vibes from here.

gotta love it when a guy with next to no skill level, drops in on someone that can actually rip pretty decently. 🙄
Yea that guy who could hardly turn his fish got me so pissed off
Well, that was embarrassing to watch & that’s 5-6 feet? 🤡😂😂
Wow. We’ve got waves way better than this with no crowds like that to contend with. 2-3ft btw 🤙
Guys who wear hoods are usually better surfers.
Bad surfing
