STREETS OF RAGE 3 Soundtrack (Expanded & Enhanced) • "Final Crash" Edition

- - - READ BELOW - - The third of my "Final Crash" Streets of Rage soundtracks is now LIVE! While the overall mixing, EQing and mastering was straightforward, there were nonetheless some balancing issues to tackle, as well as lots of errors on the original videos that I wanted to fix this time 'round. This approach to perfection takes time, and doubtless I'll find some stuff I missed as time goes by, but I'm happy knowing that over the two-dozen times (maybe more) that I listened to this soundtrack over the past few weeks, I'm all smiles. This project has been a decade in the making, and I dedicate the final output to Yuzo Koshiro and Motohiro Kawashima, who have influenced me in ways I can't express.

Hello fans! As before, please 🔎READ THE DESCRIPTION🔍 for some important info on the FINAL CRASH edition of this soundtrack, where you can get it, and what went into it. I'll be uploading a new video over the weekend to discuss the project, a return to SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, some new directions for the channel, and some potentially huge news!
SOR3 is so underrated. I've always felt like it's a true sequel because of the advances it makes in the franchise. SOR2 can be a bit too similar to SOR1 in certain areas, which is why it draws an unfair comparison to SOR3. Each game has its own personality, and I think every SOR fan should experience the whole trilogy to get an insight into what that is, and that will help them determine would they would think of SOR4.
Sor1 is such a barebones beat em up. Where as sor2 is more of a complete package in terms of gameplay. Sor2 has a lot more combo options. Than 1. I like both 3 2 and 4 though.
3 has to be played on either the Japanese version or the translated jpn ver. Sor3-NA is way too unfair
Totally agree with your point, I think the same. I love all the three games equally, each one their own pros/cons.
Absolutely spot-on. SOR1 was very much an ode to House music, while SOR2 dabbled heavily in Breakbeat and the first emergence of Big Beat. SOR3, by contrast, went hardcore Acid Techno, a bit of Goa, and little sprinkles of traditional club dance. The fact that SOR3 is such an acquired taste reminds me a lot of death metal, which took me a few years to really appreciate. You have to dig through the layers to appreciate what it's bringing to the table.
@@MaestroDraventhanks. The difficulty of the US version put me off as a kid but this is amazing. Also apparently the Japanese version bare knuckle 3 was easier (and better) which sounds like a first between JP and US versions
@@waverazor I've only ever beaten American SOR3 using Super Axel and Save States. Was STILL damn hard, especially Dr. Dahm
Rest well, trooper. To say you've earned it is an understatement.
What you've done is a masterclass of videogame arrangements for an entire trilogy that's more than good enough to be officially sanctioned by Sega themselves.
That would be a dream come true! Alternatively, I could get sued. LOL. I hope not!

"Fuze", "boss" and "happy paradise" is my favorite track in sor3. The whole (final crash edition) is a complete masterpiece. Props to you.👍🍻
underground is quite an unexpected treat that I didn't see coming! all the tracks are good!
Underground is one of the tracks I'm most happy with. I originally conceptualized it as a brief eye in the sonic hurricane that is the SOR3 soundtrack. I wanted, for a brief moment, to go in a different direction in order to create an intermission. Glad you like it!
Sweet, thanks for this! It took awhile for this OST to grow on me, but now I really love it. This is awesome!
Inga rasen is one of my favorite tracks from yuzo koshiro. It's brutal, unique, and fm sounds. Pioneers of of the fm sound.
It's my favorite also
My favorite songs are "Disco", "Kamadecoco" and "Ending" ❤
What you did with Underground was absolutely phenomenal. It used to sound like a filler AI-generated track, but you brought it to such a high level that I can't stop listening to it. Stellar work on the whole soundtrack, and especially that piece (and the good ending theme).
Sorry for the late reply, but thank you! Of all the songs on this soundtrack I'm most proud of, Underground is #1. I had a time figuring out what to do with it, but then I thought.....what about "eye of the hurricane?" And it seems to have worked.
@@MaestroDraven I've tried to find the reference but couldn't. Was it 'Eye of the Storm' by Bear McCreary? I'd love to hear the song that inspired your version of Underground. I've been listening to it whenever I had to go outside.
@@kyoobqa - Oh I wasn't inspired by any particular song, so much as an idea. That song has incredibly chaotic time structure, on purpose, so I tried finding the logic in it and then crafting something that could be interpreted as a calmness.
I think SOR3 was the most played game for me.
Same here. Glad to know that !
This is perfection and mastery. Not only are you re-generating the genesis chip sounds but you have brought them to life with perfect mixing/mastering and balancing, making instruments basically come alive. The music is crisper, sharper and higher definition than the originals. Not only that, but your interpretation and original composition along with the parts that are restructured and remixed is in perfect cohesion. Its not overbearing, it fits and merges right into the original composition like it was always meant to be there. Not only captures but expands upon the same energy and flow of the original music.
bravo sir!
Thanks very much! That was always a concern of mine. If I went too far away from the source material, it might defeat the purpose, but at the same time, I couldn't play it safe, either. For each song, it was all about "what makes sense here?" That's how I started out. I wanted it to feel as natural as possible.
Просто чумовая работа. особенно порадовала The Poets 1- я ее и в оригинале выделял для себя, но теперь это вообще топ-3 из всей музыки серии.
And this is how we close this epic beat'em up saga with a flourish. Maestro, you never stop to surprise me. Now that I realized, never thought to negociate with Bomber Games to include your ''SOR Final Crash'' tracks on Streets Of Rage Remake?? If that would happen, that'll be the most epic in the world.
Bro, once again, you are the BEST!!!
I really appreciate the support, Dubz! Thanks a lot. I had originally intended to create the soundtrack for Streets of Rage Remake, but the project was so far along at that point that it was more of an afterthought. When F-Games approached me to do SOR-X, it felt much more natural to me, and I was happy to partner up. That being said, I do have plans to trim the tracks up (now that they're done), and make an appropriate replacement soundtrack for SORR.
never really cared for the streets of rage 3 soundtrack because half of the songs sounded like they didn't really have a direction but this soundtrack makes this soundtrack so much more organized in my opinion! really good stuff
Thanks very much! I had a blast redoing it. I wasn't going to originally but the soundtrack grew on me.
well you've definitely nailed dude! I've listened to other stuff on your account as well keep pushing loving it!@@MaestroDraven
Listening to this rn. RANDOM CROSS IS ALREADY MY FAVORITE!
Glad i discovered this. I probably have the world record for listening to the SOR soundtracks the most. At first i thought "what hubris! adding to these tracks that are already masterpieces!... but now i am glad to have additional content to listen to. You should make origonal content for Streets Of rage 5...maybe you can land the gig
I really appreciate that Barmastarf. Believe me, I've thought the same. I wanted to be very faithful to the original compositions without getting out past my skis. That meant I had to think logically and put myself in the shoes of Koshiro and Kawashima. Faithfulness to the style of the original songs is always key for me, even if I sometimes go way out there, like I did with "Underground." I appreciate the support! 👍
Agreed.
Thank you so much for this. Its nice to see other people enjoy SOR3 as much as I do. I wish folks would learn that not everyone likes the same thing. If they did, everything would be predictable and boring.
Thanks, and I agree!
Always walking like a gangster while listening to this >m
@maestroDraven i’ve listened to your first two streets of rage, final crash compilations, and I was completely floored by how well crafted, and how much passion went into those projects and musical sets, and I have to say bravo and congratulations on those beautifully rafted masterpieces. But streets of rage three is just something I can never get into, but I admire, and applaud and respect this particular compilation. If it had you running this installation, I would’ve loved the shit outta it. ❤
WOW!! Fantastic video, you played SORX during the first track :)
Absolutely! Also did the same in SOR1.
SoR3! 💙 Some cool improvements on the already great remixes, good job as usual. Last week I played Streets of Rage X and it's fun, also hearing the E&E remixes in the game is really nice!
Бро, как всегда очень классно, ты справился с этой работой безупречно. Теперь весь трек для игры готов абсолютно. Good Ending очень круто получился, сногсшибательно. Смешав дорожу из всех 3 частей. Очень грамотно получилось!!!
Maestro never disappoints🔥 Great work!
Awesome Ty !
Now I want to home brew a streets of rage “Dnd” game
Unreal!! Love this so much, incredible job. You have to get recognised for this
You keep amazing me every time I see your channel ❤ ,,
Your did a mesmerizing job on all the music that you remixed / reproduced ,,
Thanks a lot! Some great new projects coming down the pipe, stay tuned for an announcement this weekend.
Thank you for you work! I will never get tired of listening to SoR music. Happy to see this game series being alive after all these years
Too many bangers, awesome remixes.
Glad you like them!
Agreed
I didn’t know there was a whole endgame section for this game until well into adulthood 😢
Amazing, thanks for that treasure
Incredible pieces man sor 3 was my fav when i was growing up this was the shit back then😊
Agreed. It's my favorite also.
I wish we could use final crash versions in the Streets of Rage Remake, its actually way better than the ost there.
Nice Work!
wasn't a fan of the original SoR3 OST, but man you nailed it! great work!
Masterful! Thank you for this!
Shinobi Reverse was absolutely amazing! Such a good theme for such an annoying fight.
Hell yeah, happy Thanksgiving
To you too, my friend.
The soundtrack is awesome and the new additions to each themes are nice👍🏻. I would love play sor3 with this ost. This is like a sega cd version release.
Thanks very much. You can play another fan game called Streets of Rage X. I've partnered with F-Games to provide the official soundtrack, which is why I optimized the Final Crash editions. The link is in the description. It's a great game. Can even do 4-player co-op.
amazing thanksgiving gift of the best ost of the original trilogy thank you❤
Happy Thanksgiving to you!
好極了!🤩🤩🤩
44:20 Streets of New Age?
Good deal
It's peak
Boss always sounded like Cardi B "Press" sped up to me.
😁👌
One thing I was wondering, since I think you've mentioned you won't be doing SOR4, is it that you don't like the soundtrack? Or do you want to stick to the Genesis/early console generations?
I adore the direction SOR4's OST took, but get that expanding it would be a totally different task from expanding 16-bit music so I'm more curious than anything.
Hey there. I don't think I'd necessarily stay away from SOR4, but I wouldn't expand on what's already there. Early chiptune music was limited by the time frame, so I have something to work with, whereas new music is pretty fleshed out these days. What I MIGHT do is "Genesize" the SOR4 soundtrack sometime. I'm just trying to think of the best way to approach it. We'll see.
@MaestroDraven BTW be careful with SOR4 soundtrack. I had got a few takedown strikes on my TH-cam account that I managed to remove before it got my youtube account deleted.
Hello this is a question for you, what is your favorite gum flavor?
Брат , скажи когда релиз игры будет? и где можно будет скачать?
