- Todd Tuckey shows you a ROCK Pinball Machine with BOTH backglass mylars! Gottlieb offered a kit 8 months after the release of this game that had a different backglass mylar and different music sound chips---at a very low cost, to "freshen up" your ROCK pinball machine while it was on location! A great idea! Not many were actually made either!
Beautifully done, Todd. I can always count on you guys to do nice games for me and this one is no exception. I've lost track of how many transactions we've made over the many years but I am always pleased with the results. Thanks!
Thanks Steven!!! Glad you like how it came out!!! It's a beaut!
Big Big Fan was Here, Thanks again boys for the Movie. Keep Tilting it!
Thanks!
I have never seen this game in person, but this one looks fantastic! Great job as always guys!
Thanks Paul!
Rare pin. wow looks awesome. its amazing how old these pins are, and how they are brought back to life, and pretty much look as good as new. Terrific stuff.
Stephens got another beauty. !! congrats.
Yes....he did a terrific job as usual...and Anthony did a wonderful job on it too!
I love this table. I remember playing this at Shakey's Pizza in the 80s. Brings back memories
I actually play this one when young at 7-11, I thought I made this game up as I could not find it later. That soundtrack is stuck in my head :)
Wow that pinball sure has a fantastic sound system and audio track.
Agreed!!!
Well I've never seen one of these before, thanks for showing us and great knowledge sir!
Glad you like our video!!
TNT Amusements Inc I was lucky enough to grow up with an old table, Flying Carpet, in my house. I will always love pinball.
Thanks for the video.
Awesome video Todd, Happy New Year to you and your family.
I love wallis. Hes so funny. Always makes me chuckle
He is a funny guy!!
I like characters. He has his own way. Ps hope the stitches come out ok tues todd. Well wishes from your uk fan
nice video. And I agree with the others on the sound. It is good, and of course, the Gottlieb 80B games were known for some good hardware including Hollywood Heat, and had it not been for IPDB.org, I would have never known that Don Marshall started out with Gottlieb before he did several of the photographic side art and marquees for most of Konami's games.
Great piece of info about Don Marshall! Thanks for sharing!
OMG the tune its so catchy its amazing lol
+VGC1612 Yes...am going to put the video up again!
That is a really kool pinball
michael whitley It's growing in popularity!
Wow, what a cool light show! It looks gorgeous with the LED's!
Call me crazy, but I love the delightfully ugly but awesome looking side art on the dedicated Rock Encore!
I agree!!!
Never seen this one before but I do like it. Nice mini playfield a bit like Swords of Fun as well.
The photographic backglass art is a bit iffy though. Always looks cheap and nasty. Especially Raven. Also, Stern's 2007 Spiderman has the same problem what with what looks like a reject movie poster in the backglass (although it's an EXCELLENT game to play.)
Each machine has its pluses and minuses for sure!
Oh Wallace... (legend)
I'm new to the pinball game. I have just the rock version of this game and trying to get pointed in the right direction for replacement parts, specifically the rom board. any websites to dive into that may sell the rom board replacement or someone to send off the old rom board for repair? thanks
Back in 83 when Bethel-Tate HS won their tenth straight Clermont County Conferencve title I heard we will rock you and the Eye of the Tiger. The mascot is a tiger.
Thanks! I'm modifying the JP Salas versión to Visual pinball, I played 200-300 times testing sounds, etc. Is Amazing. The letters A B C have any function?
Coming soon on my channel and VPforums the Rock MOD :)
Regards
do you sell that ??? I as a great collector of Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) looking for this Rocky pinball machine Gottlieb like to use but should be fully functional and in good condition. Also offer as a barter the original limited edition Championship Belt of HCG. It is limited to 1976 pieces and sold out worldwide. Only available privately. The 4 original little pictures have been replaced by the pictures of the belt in the film.
Interesting how they selected the reactor music as the opening music
What's the pinball game that had a boom box on top the back box? I think it was by Bally?
That is Bally's Heavy Metal Meltdown...but sometimes that Boombox is completely missing.
This Steven that the Rock Encore pinball machine is going to, is that your Steven?! The cabinet painting wizard? He's working for Jersey Jack now?
AHhh! My Steven is still with me (Painter Steve). The "other" Steve is Steve Zamonski--you can find his name on the apron of the Wizard Of Oz Pinball Machine! You will also see him in the Attack From Mars pinball video I will be posting Monday, when he dropped off some games!
What was the point of the reset board if the game runs perfectly fine without it? What problems does it cause?
Well, about every 50 times you turn the game on, it will not start...and displays will be blank. In a store being vended, the store owner only turns the games on once and does not check to see if its working or think of turning off and on again...he just calls for service. But ina private home, the home owner will simply turn it off and on again--since he is used to the machines. The reset board--working right--allows it to start correctly....but we found they fail and it causes more problems than solves issues...
They should have played the Reactor music through the whole game. Love that tune.
Joe Newberry It's catchy!
what fan. actually couldn't hear it until you said something :)
and yes ipdb.org is a God .. do you mind :)
Unfortunately the fan is pretty audible in the next video posting shortly...for the two cabaret games!
TNT Amusements Inc I'm sure I can hear someone yelling CURT somewhere.. but I'm likely to hear the electrical hum from the game more than the fan.. still because of of my meds makes me suseptable (SP)to heat I can understand people complaining :(
Looks like a fun machine
it is!
