I think you might hold the world record for "smoothest liquid latex buildup puppets"! They have none of the characteristic lumpiness you normally find in that method of construction. Looks almost as good as silicone. :)
I'm so confused as to how you don't have so many more subscribers than you do! Your work is absolutely AMAZING! Please, don't stop. You obviously have a great talent.
Definitly the best piece of work so far. I've been waiting for the film since the first post you posted on your blog. The puppet, the backgrounds, the story, it must have been a lot of pre-production. Really worth waiting. And that last sequence with the walking, can't be better animated than this :D
Wow this is so amazing I have totally fallen in love with your work like i could never do this in a billion years you are amazing keep up the awesome work
Wow.. I was watching this, and didnt look at who made it. I thought to myself that it would be impossible for just one guy to do it - but then I recognized Dan Mackenzie at the end.. Insanely good job man. This is as top quality as stop motion gets - congrats!
Yeah! I was an Assistant Stop Motion Animator at Laika for the last 6 months of production on ParaNorman. It was great. I've got a few shots in the film too, I can't wait for it to come out.
This is so great! I love seeing more work form you. I honestly think this is one of the best claymations I've ever seen. You've changed so much from your old videos, this looks like a professional made it. You have a real future in claymation! nice job.
Wow, I have been following your animations for a very long time now, I remember finding you and Mamshmam on my bagi80 channel when I was first discovering stop-motion back in like 2007. You've come a very long way buddy, you're a massive inspiration and if it wasn't for you I wouldn't be making my own animation right now! Thank you. :)
Nice work Mackmation. If only I could do Stop Motion like you or build sets like you. I'm in the works of a Stop Motion show and I've done lots of testing so far using Transformers. It tends to get a little hard and sometimes during animation I don't even want to do it. Anyways great job man
Thanks man! Good to hear from you again. Yep, doing well, working on Robot Chicken now, and a film I worked on called ParaNorman comes out in August! Keep your eyes peeled for it.
so, on my Polish lessons we had this movie. we had to write a story based on this movie. the kinda tricky part was that we had to write about the boy's imagination-world and then write the normal part but it had to have a "shocking" ending.
Six months? Great work! I understand you if you say you took half a year to carry on this animation! I made some short stop motions (not like yours) that took more than three months to finish all, includining taking pictures and edition work...that´s a great effort and persistence of yours!
this is by far the best claymation i have ever seen, really good job, just wondering though: what kind of camera and lighting are you using and what what this edited in? thanks and keep smiling :)
You worked on ParaNorman? that is incredible! it is my dream to work for Laika, congratulations on becoming such a success! what was your role in the making of the movie?
6 months for 2 minutes...
