It's pretty hard to brute force a wifi-password. It would at least take a lot of time. Most of the time it is not even worth it for the amount of time you put in it. And if someone made his/her own secure password. I think it is not hackable.
The device is easy accessible because it is outside your house and connected to your wifi. Via hydra and medusa on kali linux using brute force attacks, it is theoretically possible to hack your wifi.
Wi-Fi is pretty easy to hack, I believe a standard home router takes about a day to crack. Although tons of routers have vulnerabilities, there are apps on the play store which can crack passwords of certain routers in second due to vulnerabilities. Although more likely with this doorbell is "why is my doorbell DDoSing someone in Russia."
well. my company which is very small knows as shadeed have a product range like a kit named ranger with provides couple of cctv like hidden cameras, intercom unit and couple of motion sensors which are all controlled by one single app.. all of them are plug and play wireless devices which connects to the wifi and sends the data (videos) to the cloud immediately. so this was my project for an idea competition which the investors didnt really want to buy although i got a participation certificate. they were not really buying my idea cuz they are saying this kinda tech will be too expensive... lemme know guys! what do you think about it? also the kit includes some trackers for wallets, bags, pets and a fast car charger which can also be used to locate the car. all for 399$
From what I understand with these doorbells, the biggest concern with them is the lag time between someone pressing the bell outside, and you actually getting notification. I believe Ring was one of those that had issues with long lag times between those two events. Would be great to know what sort of lag you experience (or not) with the Skybell, also would factors such as Internet speed, and your own phone's connection (say if you're outdoors) play an effect on the time delay.
Hey Zack! Please make a video completely dedicated to headphones/earphones...you can cover comparisons/tear downs/rankings/sound quality...and all that in the video cause that will be something different and interesting.
Great timing I was looking for something like that. Though I wish it would show the packages. But I think this added to a package security lockbox underneath would be very useful
I have a challenge for you, take out all the parts of an iPhone 7 plus, wire them together, and connect the screen. Basically try to use an iPhone 7 plus without the frame, just components and screen. AND also the screen glass can't be there, just the LCD. Your welcome :) And also you can't use the backlighting of the screen, use a flash light :D
I have the ring.com system--I think it's better. It has a built-in two-way speaker system so that you can communicate with whomever is outside. It also has motion detection which will trigger when someone just gets near the doorbell. And cloud storage of all triggered clips. And amazingly configurable. Jerry, you should try it out!
Jerry please do a breakdown and durability of LeEco le pro 3. And please explain how a company is able to build a phone with that good specs at such a low price
Hey loved this video! Loving the idea of doing a wider range of projects as well! Can you do a breakdown/teardown and review of the new Samsung S3 Frontier smartwatch? Would love to see that, it's waterproofing, and it's durability/toughness compared to the apple watch!
Really cool tech, I think that I would use this to replace my door bell. Thank you Zack as always very informative. I share your view about the lens though, but I'm not sure how that can be fixed. Unless it came with two lenses.
I just got one and while the video looks great there is a delay from when it sees motion so if someone runs up to the door you never see them. It also seems to take a long time to connect. Like over 30 seconds making real time communication impossible. I have it on a dedicated router about 20 feet away. Sometimes it never shows a video, the circle just keeps spinning. The time to see a video after getting a bell press is also uselessly long. I'm thinking about returning it. I want it to have a 10-20s repeating loop so at least it would capture everything even with the delay. My kid can run up to the porch and leave something and you never see him.
I love your videos! This product though is pretty useless if it can't see the packages. Also the video quality is poor. You should try out the Blink Security cameras. They're not perfect either but I love them. I have one on my front porch that sees everything.
The NSA will be watching all that activity needless to say. When you come and go. Who usually walks in that area. Who your neighbours are. You get the gist.
is there a huge delay when someone outside rings it and its sent to your phone? another youtuber who goes by the name Techmoan reviewed something similer and he was dissatisfied because of this and had to switch to something much simpler.
Great informative video! I am on the fence on whether to get Skybell or the Ring Doorbell (its a different brand with similar features). You can look it up at www.ring.com but i would love to hear your firsthand opinion on comparing those 2 brands! Thanks and hope to hear a reply from you soon!
The parts it took to build are worth approximately 9 bucks why is it 200 bucks? For 200 bucks I want it to last as long as my standard doorbell did. 50-60 years. With luck these will only last 5 years. I'll bet they are not even potted. As my experience with solar lights tells me if the legs and solder are exposed to a season of weather the pins rot off. Is this built to a 200 buck standard? I doubt it.
But the real question is were you home to receive the Skybell package when it arrived?
Showing this all lot within 4 minutes,
I appreciate your detailed scripting and editing!
How to get your home wi-fi hacked 101.
Rizzen exactly my thoughts lol, its easy enough to collect data packets and then brute forcing using reaver, but its of no use tho,

Great timing I was looking for something like that. Though I wish it would show the packages. But I think this added to a package security lockbox underneath would be very useful
The sky bell is cool and all, but you should try the ring doorbell, the quality is way better! I love the one we got

That sounds like a terrible adventure.

good good . you are getting sponsored videos now. keep going. all the best
Is there something like this that you put on the inside of the door, looking through the door eye hole, without the need for replacing the eye hole?

Also would love to see how they packed SO MUCH IN THERE! NFC, 4glte, bluetooth, wifi, etc.
Really cool tech, I think that I would use this to replace my door bell. Thank you Zack as always very informative. I share your view about the lens though, but I'm not sure how that can be fixed. Unless it came with two lenses.
That would be so funny when you walked out of your house at the end you accidentally lock your self in with your phone inside the house 😂

Awesome vid. I might buy that!
Do you use your s7 edge as your main camera?
For outdoor vids like this, ya. For my teardowns and durability tests, I use a GH4.
Joe Playz s
Sir. Can you do a review of ZUK Z2? The Non-Pro one. Cheapeast SD820 phone.
Is this legal? To record without a sign or something, since it's basicly surveillance.
I love your videos! This product though is pretty useless if it can't see the packages. Also the video quality is poor. You should try out the Blink Security cameras. They're not perfect either but I love them. I have one on my front porch that sees everything.
Hey, any full review of the bell? Or trim version?
Hey this actually will allow you to talk to fans outside the door without even opening it.
This is very useful
Wait what ? Are you recording with Galaxy s7 ???
I thought that you've got some kind of a Canon 5D but... ok!
can you do car battery tear dawn and how it charges by it self this will be intressting
We have a doorbell with Vivint and caught the darn kids that door bell ditched haha.
hey , can you recommend that doorbell?
yo Jerry can u do a Xiaomi mi 5s durability video ? thanks man
is that the one Casey uses?
That's an interesting way to keep tab on neighbors.
hey jerry, what microphone are you using for voiceovers?
Please test the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro plz
The ring doorbell's video cloud service is a paid service $3/month or $30/year. Is the cloud service free for this one?
no monthly fee with skybell. much better
VidFall Despite my thoughts that the ring pro looks better, this not having a monthly fee would make it my choice.
Could I replace my Oneplus 3's 3000 mah battery with the Oneplus 3T's battery could it be harmful or cause any damage ?
are you going to do a teardown video on this?
hi jerry you are great
How do these compare to the ring doorbell?
The door bell sounds the same no matter what switch you have in front of your house.
I meant skybell's competitor the "ring doorbell" not the sound it makes.
The NSA will be watching all that activity needless to say. When you come and go. Who usually walks in that area. Who your neighbours are. You get the gist.

tilt the base of the bill a little bit towards the ground. and your problem is solved

But how is the video quality in the dark??
When will you open it apart?
Can you tear appart a pair of light up shoes?
Damn that's cool! Our doorbell is broken, thank goodness. It was so annoying haha
What can you do with an ipod that's locked permantely?
hey jerry!
can u make a video with xiaomi redmi 4 prime
JerryRigs lives in an apartment complex =)
hey zack!!!
+Aakash Pai sup
JerryRigEverything wht abt night?
I got one. Night view was surprisingly solid. No difference in performance from day-time.
VidFall wow cool!!!
No no no no no no say "hey zacc"
I thought you said the Doorbell only did 720p, yet you SKIPPED right over the page saying 1080p quality at 2:55 (Pause or you'll miss it) What's up?
notification squad here 😍
Sounds like you need to oil those hinges Jerry!
Hey! Cool video :) Liked your hair today :P
@jerry rig everything when is next give away contest
doesn't casey niestat have a similar thing? like he has a monitor on one side of the door and a camera on the other side.
can you bend test of OPPO f1 plus and OPPO f1 s
I just bought this yesterday
this is cool but if I install this, it is guaranteed that it won't last 1 week without it being stolen.
skybell will send you a new one if it gets stolen. It is in their TOS
Rio de Janeiro?
I have owned a SkyBell since 1/7/2016. It is the HD one. I have had nothing but problems. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT !!
Very easy to steal. I wouldn't use it unless I secure the whole thing with 12ga bolts or something.
Ali Ozan yes it's easy to steal, like other door bell.
seriously, will people even notice that this is a high-tech doorbell?
But then you'd have a video on your phone of the person stealing it lol!
VidFall like nobody knows how to wear a mask right. :)
+Ali Ozan. Of course, people wear masks when stealing door bells. :| Wow, and do they also have mashine guns and a C4s?
menzáč No... I only have RPGs, can't pay for C4. Expensive on the black market. :'(
what was up with the audio squeaks at the end?
I need to buy a house first so I can attach the doorbell 😁
Skybell is familiar to me somehow,
*SkyNET*
The fps of this is a fraction... 2/5 frames per second :P
But this is cool. If the fps gets a little bit higher would be perfect.
nice innovative gadget..
Make the durability test on the Moto G4
with these door bells make sure your wifi is not on the corner of the house or it wont work property the closer the better.
I sure hope no one steals it...
Yah this is cool I want one .
Zack how is your everyday life with Iphone ? Honestly.
+Aleksej Stankovic sucks
zack you'll prefer iphone7 or google pixel??
@jerryrigeverything plz plz plz reply... can u plz give that official jerry rig everything unboxing reparing zack fan tshirt contract to me ?
We can share profit 50 50 percent
How much is it costs?
HI Zack
Johny Sins has a cool TH-cam channel
I was expecting a teardown, or at least to a bend test
Awesome! The sound of this video is not too good.
yes it is an exterior shoot
where is bend test, flame test or scratch test!!
i though it was gonna be ''Ring'' doorbell but I guess i'm wrong
why is the steaming so slow?!!
I guess it has something to do with heat exchange and wind mostly.
The parts it took to build are worth approximately 9 bucks why is it 200 bucks? For 200 bucks I want it to last as long as my standard doorbell did. 50-60 years. It needs a bend test.
It's just a copy of Ring but smaller.
Are you allowed to film streets ??
You should tear the sphero bb-8 down.
Hello my friend!
I killed my skybell by a drop of water
