The problem with Jill is that her cd cuts don’t come ANYWHERE NEAR her live versions. So you fall in love with the live cuts and the studio album just loses that raw appeal. She’s absolutely incredible live. One of the rare vocals that stretches n bends her voice like a string. Smooth and silky in some parts n growling gritty in others. A true gift to music.
I love Jill! She is so raw, and she always delivers such great and soulful performances. I don't know about y'all, but I felt a very Patti LaBelle'esk in this performances. Not trying to compare - just trying to show some love for the two ladies! Gahh, I just love the soul!!!

The band was putting their drums in the trunk of the car at the nbc studio entrance in Burbank, california . Cool. She was practicing while we listened and got finished I yelled Yeah! The shushed me but I was letting her know fantastic!
