You economized on the use/application of the Dragon Grip tape but were too cheap/lazy to prep the surface with alcohol so it could stick longer? Brilliant. If only Leatherman made a pouch that attached to your belt so you could carry the multi tool and useful accessories, while freeing up pocket space.
You can get some DIY rubber Talon grips and cut them to the shape of the wave or whatever multitool you are using. They specialize in pistol grips but it works well for many hand tools and multitools.

Where do you get the talon grips. Why do all you folks says stuff and then not follow through. I call that half assed.

Lol I went super budget with my bit kit mod and just fed a zip tie thru those holes at the top. Holds nice. Quickest "mod" I ever done, took all of 5 secs😅

Dragon Grips sell 5x7 squares so you don't need to faff about with the sets of precut smaller pieces.

is the bit kit worth it? the more i read, the more i see Wiha and the extension more worth it and how soft the Leatherman bits are. would cost my $24 for the 13 double ended bit set and the extension.
Good point. The bit adapter with 1/4" bits is ultimately the best option if you use the bits a lot.

I wanted to love the Donk clips, I like the look of them and ordered two last week, but neither of them fit my G10 Charge+ and had to return them. Just a disclaimer, I tried them in all three G10 Charges that I own. Seems like people have had more success when using on a Wave.
That's too bad. Are the scales too thick on the G10 Charge for them to work?
@@hvacbudget8600 I’m not sure if the scales are an issue, but the shape of the tips of the Donk clips are pretty different from the stock clip. I was able to force the clip on the tool with some effort and tried to work it in, but the lock bar was semi depressed inward and I wasn’t able to get the clip out.
Mine worked great on the G-10 charge plus.

At 0:13 I see you replaced one of the 4 out board tools with what looks like a fold out bit driver for full size bits? Where did you get that or who makes it?
That is from off the Gerber Armbar Slim Drive. I have a video detailing that mod that hopefully should explain it a bit more.

If you double nut the bolts then you won't need the Loctite.

You could also replace the two bolts with a single small zip tie...
@@edwardfletcher7790 True. With the bolt system you could link multiple bit kits together almost like a bicycle chain at the top, but most I would assume would only be interested in the full kit which could very easily be ziptied.
How bout a custom pocket clip for the K4…that is thee uncomfortable clip in hand. Like something that don’t dig in your hand.

Do you like that Leatherman Charge Plus in 154 CM Steel? How does it compare to the Wave Plus?
I do like it, but I'm almost underwhelmed because I've heard the Charge so hyped up. But it is a great tool. I'll probably do a first impressions video on the Charge next week.
@@hvacbudget8600its basically a Wave Plus with harder steel and a gut hook on the tip of the serrated blade. There's no change in any of the implements besides that.
