  • Let's go flying! Dave Tillema takes Zenith Aircraft's Sebastien Heintz flying in his custom-built Zenith CH 750 Cruzer aircraft that he built from a Zenith kit. As Dave explains, his airplane is powered by a Viking 130 (Honda automotive engine conversion) with a variable pitch propeller system with DUC blades for increased performance and efficiency. The video was recorded at the Zenith Texas workshop at Boerne Stage Airfield in Texas (February 11, 2022).
    Look up Dave Tillema on Facebook and his "Texxas 750 Cruzer" group where he shares many flying videos.
    The Zenith CH 750 CRUZER is an economical all-metal two-seat cross-country cruiser that you can easily and quickly build yourself, and fly with your Sport Pilot license. The CH 750 CRUZER is the “on-airport” version of the very popular "off airport" STOL CH 750 light sport utility kit plane, famous for its roomy cabin with comfortable side-by-side seating and easy cabin access from both sides. While influenced by its well-known STOL predecessors (the STOL CH 701 “Sky Jeep”, the STOL CH 750 and four-seat CH 801 sport utility aircraft), the CH 750 Cruzer is an all-new design optimized as an economical cross-country cruiser for typical (airport) operations, while still exhibiting excellent short field capabilities and outstanding slow flight handling characteristics.

    Great video showing the flight characteristics. One suggestion...pick ONE great photo for the THUMBNAIL. This collage is a bit too busy to focus on any one of the photos. It's a blur of color as you scroll.

    I like that there’s no music in this video. Just the conversation between pilots and/or the engine noise. Even without dialogue, I’d rather listen to the aircraft noise and the wind over the music. Of course, this is only my singular opinion, and a hundred others may disagree with me. :)

    There is one thing that really bothers me about Zenith. That is the Zenith logo. I think it really needs an update.
    The planes are great, though. I just started building a Super Duty.

    Cruise at 100 mph?

    • @zenithac
      @zenithac  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Like Dave says at 4:33, economy cruise is about 100 mph burning just 3.5 gph (of auto fuel)

      @@zenithac Its time for 150mph low wing Zenith with some added Italian elegance.

      @@tinolino58 The 601 or 650 is their low wing model and it’s the fastest Zenith, though it’s still no speed demon. It’ll matches and maybe beats the C172 in cruise speed (120 kts at high altitude).
