I am from Columbia TN and still live here. Love learning about our history, just wish there was more black history in Columbia TN.

I love my Tennessee history and we all need to keep our old photographs archived.
Before I pass away I will make sure to send all my old family pictures to my hometown and asked them to place them in there archive.
If they do not have one we all should ask to have one set up for us to show the past of our home we were born.
My hometown is Clarksville, TN and I am proud of it and it's history.

I live in Memphis, TN. If it wasn't for Mr. Ernest Withers capturing over 60 years of African American history in the segregated south, with iconic images of the Montgomery Bus Boycott, Emmett Til, Memphis sanitation strike, Negroleague baseball, and musicians including those related to Memphis Blues and Memphis soul, the memories would probably be just a memory. I thank you Mr. Withers for not allowing that to happen. May you R.I.P.

Is there a page or something like that where they’ve posted a lot of these photos?

My aunt and uncle used to live there, and I used to visit. Pretty place, but not much to do.
