wish I was there looking into the future and also taking in the breathtaking views but then again we have people that gives us a opportunity to look and take in the same views as they do, with out going the distance.....
Love the video's and also the comments and also the home made methods of fastening and tuning every thing in place. Great video as always

"The major drawbacks to the sitting glissade are that one's outer layers get wet, and that there is less control than in a standing glissade." ... hmm. apparently one's inner layers are not immune either 8-D Great video, Steve, Guy and the crew !! What a luxurious base camp, thanks to Surprise!!

Beautiful area! I have spent many weeks over the years directly to the east in the Elkhorns, also know as the "Little Alps". I look forward to my yearly mid-summer visits to that area. I have camped at about 7000' and hiked to the peaks at 9000' feet there for some "long range" 2m contacts with an ht. I am working on my code, and plan on building my first kit radio this summer in hopes that I can get out there for some 20m and 40m qrp cw action. Thanks for another inspiring video!

All I can say...I wanna go to....wow, does that look like fun or what. Would love to join your next expedition. Looks like fun..Another great job on video, would suggest more tripod or monopod use but with that type of landscape shooting, it's hard to not to find a great shot at every turn.

Dang you Steve! You are costing me a lot of money: new FT-817, Buddipole Deluxe Package, battery, and other "necessary" goodies. My wife (KJ6QLY) and I will be attempting to activate Mt. Baden-Powell (W6/CT-004) on Saturday, October 15. Since that is the BSA Jamboree On the Air weekend, we figure Baden-Powell is an appropriate choice for our first activation. Hoping for a SOTA/JOTA day! Sincere thanks for providing the inspiration to try this!
