You are so special 🥰 I had a stepdad and he was the best dad in the world. Apparently a terrible husband with a fidelity problem, but a truly wonderful dad. Yes, he fixed things, and made things, and he included girls in everything too. Keep up the wonderful work, and I hope you get that sponsorship 😘
Nice and clear. I have recently bought new bread maker because I was already on a second pan. New pan was about the same price as the seal kit. Now my new machine is dead after a few months. I am taking it apart to find the disconnect.
Thanks Stanislav! I think some of the details may have gotten edited out. I've also had a couple of issues since I filmed the replacement. The seal kept working it's way out. Eventually I used a couple of wooden spoons, handle end down and seem to have gotten it to stay. Sometimes I get a slight amount of by pass (usually in the form of some dark crud that comes out the bottom when I rotate it after baking a loaf). Despite these, we've baked dozens of loaves since this repair, and it's still working.
How did you get the shaft out? In your video, you already have the shaft removed, but I can't seem to get my shaft out from the pan. Thank you for your help.
Yes, I did get the shaft out. There is a C-clip on each end. It seemed to me to be easier to get it off the paddle end, so after I took that one off, it came out through the top of the pan.
@@tabarebarreto2786 Is your bread maker the same model as the one shown? I don't think I had to hit the shaft. I think it came out fairly easily once I had the C clip removed.
@@MyStepdad No. My machine is from another brand but the container is exactly the same and I think that the bolt can also be the same. my problem is that the bolt is completely seized. I think it has rusted. I have already removed the washer with the special pliers and now I think that I should hit it to remove the rust but I don't know where to do it. Should I do it inside or outside the container?
It’s hard to say, but it could just be the upper c-clip is missing. If it falls out, I’m guessing it also leaks moisture so you’d probably want to replace the seal anyway. If it’s not leaking but the shaft is falling out I would check for a missing c-clip first. Good luck!
Thank you! I just checked out your channel and your video quality is excellent too. I wish I spoke your language so I could understand it 😉! Is it Filipino?
Why did you not show us how you removed the pan seal/stirrer assembly from the basket? Mine is stuck and I can't remove it. After removing the snap ring, the assembly is still stuck/frozen in the basket. Does the assembly pull out from the top or the bottom? So I can't even begin to install a new one. Thx.
Mine had snap rings on both ends. I believe I took mine out through the top, but not positive. If yours is frozen, I'm not sure you have the same issue I did, but I would anchor the pan and get some vice grips on the bottom and try to get it to rotate first. Once the stem will move hopefully it will come out one side or the other. Let me know if that works.
how did you put the red seal in there - the one I have far too big for the hole. Also, what did you do with the brass piece? Is there not also a white thin washer?
Do you know if yours is the same model as mine? Does it have three rivers in the bread pan or four? If it’s not the exact same model there are most likely differences in the parts.
My issue is: the pedal will rotate, but it will stop once the dough is in or getting hard to knead. My husband is trying to replace the seal part, but he can’t get the old seal part out. From You video, it was edited and seemed pretty easy? Could you share your tips? Than you!
If the issue is that the dough paddle doesn't turn when it has resistance, I think that is a different problem. If it leaks water when you put it in the pan, then the seal needs to be replaced. If the paddle isn't turning when there's resistance it is probably a worn part. To answer your question about removing the seal from the pan, I just turned it upside down on the workbench and used a long slender slotted screw driver to push it out at an angle from the back side. (That was at 4:37 in the video). Is that the part you're asking about? After I made this video, I was able to use my bread maker for another 5-6 months, but the paddle that engages with the drive motor (I am holding it at 3:38 in the video) wore out. It no longer rotated the shaft, even when it was rotating. I couldn't find a replacement part for that paddle, and ended up pitching the whole bread maker. As a last resort, you can check out this video of how to bake bread from scratch. 🙂 th-cam.com/video/58mnlHU06TY/w-d-xo.html
I have an all-in-one Black&Decker with dual paddles. One of them shafts just lost its clip that keeps it from falling through. Seems like the sleeve where that shaft slides in is also getting slightly oval. Is that fixable?
I am in the process of doing this for a Cuisinart machine but there's a little spring inside of mine that I don't see you showing on yours any idea of what this little circular spring could be needed for and or where it should go? 3:04
I’m trying to fix mine and I just can’t find the info I’m looking for. My seal is fine, but the shaft just falls out. I think I’m missing a clip that holds it in to the basket. What size clip did you need? Do you still have that info?
@@MyStepdad I have a Cuisinart CBK-100, and I can find a seal kit online, but not just the clip. I’d hate to pay $20 for a kit when I could buy a clip for less than $1. I looked online for a parts list or diagram with sizes, but nothing lists the size of the clip.
@@sarahotto9024 it could be that you can take the stem to a local hardware store and look for a c clip that would fit. There should be a groove in the top side missing one, if the stem falls through. There may be a c clip in the bottom, as the model I had had both, and they may be the same size. In that case you could try matching that one at the hardware store. Those are my best suggestions if the detailed part number isn’t available online. Good luck!
1. thanks 4 the vid. kind of reassuring. 2. do u mean the broken plastic seal which comes with the 'repair kit' should be also replaceable as part of the process? 3. the 'teaser' part (eating freshly baked bread) could easily have been skipped (just kidding).
I made this video a while ago. I don’t remember what broken plastic part you’re referring too, but if they send a replacement part with the kit, you might as well replace the old one. 🙂
@@MyStepdad Thanks for taking the time to make the video - very helpful - I replicated your instructions and voila, my breadmaker is up and running again. You don't need the music - your delivery is perfect on its own. Thanks again.
I think the seal replacement at the time I did this video was about $20 delivered. As it turns out, the bottom paddle drive failed less than a year later, and I couldn’t find a replacement part for that, but I got another 1 or so months out of it before I ended up trashing it.
Unfortunately there were just instructions that came with the replacement seal, and they weren’t that helpful as I recall. I hope you were able to figure it out. 🤞

I couldn’t find a replacement part, so now I’m baking my bread the old-fashioned way…buying it from the store😀
Perhaps you can find a TH-cam video on that specific issue. On mine it has two spring clips on the side that hold the pan down. If I don't make sure it's inserted all the way when I put it in, it has popped up, or not been engaged when it started the cooking cycle. (I didn't know until I had a blob of baked, unmixed ingredients). :-)

I used a loom band to fix the seal on that groove and it's worked for 6 loaves so far.
That’s great! Hope it lasts for another 60 loaves or more!
