Thank you Ian for your comments about your mums. I'm an adopted mom and my son says the same about us. We encouraged him to find his bios... it came in via DNA and let's say... one side knew about him, the other is still keeping him and the others (yes others) secrets. Our baby always knew he was chosen and loved...
I know that "this place is connected to me". I lived for a while in a town in a foreign country, but felt completely at home. Years later through genealogy research found out I had family from that town very many centuries in the past. I cherish the memories that I have of living there.
This was so rewarding to watch. You do a fantastic job. Ian is very blessed for what you revealed to him. Ive watched this podcast two times now, because I was happy for him. My bio fathers side is a missed-match mess. I know very little of his bio fathers side, but slowly, finding info, but nothing like you have Mechala. This story of Ian, shows me it still possible to find out who I really am. Love your podcast. Thanks.
I am a true believer that our personalities, character, traits, etc come from our ancestors. It’s interesting to know that the census in the UK is released every 100 years. In the U.S. it’s every 72 years. The last census released was the 1950 almost 3 years ago.
I'm from the other side of the world, but my heart belongs over there. I'm 69% England, 11% Scotland, 10% Germanic Europe, and 10 % Ireland. Believe it or not, my culture was very much influenced by my English and Irish background, even though my people came over 250 hundred years ago.
Hi can I please know what kind of law penalty the law can give to those who stealing someone else DNA result because someone else claiming my DNA result and the one who's talking to my real family and telling them that she's their family member and not me
Why do shows like this say things like "we put your dna on Ancestry and right away you got a match!!"???? You'd have to be an alien to not get matches! Ancestry doesn't estimate your relationship to a match when it is a parent/child match - it's a parent/child match, no question, no estimate, done deal. LLF does this too and it drives me crazy - everyone has matches! Dr Hulme is the last person who should be introducing an adoptee to his biological family. She's a historian not a social worker. Let Ariel Bruce handle these cases, please.

Negative nancy
No estimate with dna it's an exact science
I found matches on mine … which revealed the father that raised me wasn’t my bio father….. you better. Be ready for what you may find on there.
