Ruqayyah Begum never bore the title of Badshah Begum. This title belonged to Hamida Bano during the reign of Akbar, and it is documented in the Book of Mukhtabat al-Tarikh, volume 3, page 138. As for Khurram, Akbar insisted that he take the child to his palace to be under his care. When he took him to the palace, Ruqayya Begum requested that she take care of him, and Akbar agreed Other than this, nothing is known about her

@Kavitha Ramesh maan bai was jahangirs first wife, I guess you know anarkali is a fiction character, maan bai was salims first crush, they had a lavishing wedding, akbar and harkha bai themselves git them married with salims wish, she lived in harem but she got all luxuries a royal woman got, all jahangirs wives had a large palace where each one got a room of their own, she was akbars favourite daughter in law, she gave birth to salims first child khusrao mirza Mohammad, he was intelligent and capable like akbar, that's why akbar and harkha bai wanted khusrao to become next king instead of jahangir... this made jahangir angry, nurjahan also controlled salim a lot, salim got his son khusrao blinded and shahjahan killed him so that he won't become next king, except nurjahan all 19 wives of jahangir were friendly with each other, they did not have any jealousy between them, the battle between khusrao and jahangir was unbearable to maan bai, so she died taking excessive drugs, salim cried for 3 days without food and water.
She had a luxury life but not a separate palace, maan bai, jaggat gossain, saliha Banu begum and nurjahan were chief wives of jahangir, maan bai and jaggat gossain handled harem, after their death nurjahan did.
@Kavitha Ramesh jahangir had 20 official wives and a harem of 6000 woman, most of his marriages were love marriages, he loved all his wives equally but nurjahan a bit more, maan bai being first wive was a bit ignored too after his other wives came into his life but she being akbar and harkha bais favourite they made sure she was not ignored much, they protected her a lot, she was in depression and died due to her son and husband's battle, or else she had a good life. That's why I said in other comment section if ruqaiya had such support in her life like humayun and hindal mirza her life would have been different, she wouldnt have had such depressed life, man bai was lucky to have akbar and harkha bai.

Reality is ruquaiya begum room was wrongly did by Portuguese at before periods as mariyam, our indian government of calcutta court proved mariyam uz zamani was hindu princess and mariyam is the name of mother queen, u see akbar mother hamidha named as mariyam makkani, its did by humayun. Akbar did'nt have any Christian wives is recorded in all history of akbar. Only fake people did this like.so the three palaces included in fathehpur sikri is big one is mariyam uz zamani ( jodha) palace, other small two rooms is ruquaiya sultan begam and salima sultan begam. This is a painful truth of our indian history of love but marriam uz zamani history is totally manipulated by our indians and Portuguese historians😢
