Will my destroyed lawn rejuvenate after (armyworm) treatment? In some sections of the yard there are a few green shoots but mostly the lawn seems dead. This is a new lawn laid 5 weeks ago. Should I just dig it all up and start all over again. Thanks for your help.

Hi Sue, provided you wear the advised protective equipment, apply as per label instructions and then stay off the lawn until its absorbed and dried, any of the products referenced should be safe. But if you are concerned and not experienced with such products, it might be best to get someone to do the application for you.
How do you get the wasps? We have army worms in our grain crops this year because the fires took out our microbate population. We have seen some parasitism by wasps but the wasp population isn't growing fast enough. Do you buy wasps or just wait from their numbers to increase. Just curious.
Usually around dusk, and as soon as you possibly can. I would use a knockdown grub spray rather than the acelepryn if you already have armyworm. Acelepryn can then also be applied for ongoing protection.

Give it a few weeks to see what signs of recovery there are first and go from there. If it had time to get roots down it may be able to bounce back. Keep the water up to it.
Serious pest in the Toowoomba area in February 2024
Thanks for a great video. Are you able to recommend a pesticide to treat army worm that is not likely going to harm earthworm colonies?

OK, these are Army worms. So, what are the really ‘hairy’ caterpillars that also move about in long lines?
I should watch this video early. My backyard has been destroyed completely in a week time until I found millions of armyworms marching around.
Thanks!!!

I hope I don’t get these things again. Destroyed my yard two years back.
Did your lawn recover?? Or did you have to reseed completely?
Took about a year. Had some pretty wicked weeds coming as as there was no competition from the grass.
Jesus I hope we don't see these things here in Tully. That's really bad.
