- France, Italy, Greece and several other European and neighbouring countries, photographed from low-flying aircraft, against an evocative soundtrack, reveal the features of their ancient capitals and historic lands in a new dimension, as the pinnacles of Notre Dame or the slopes of the Acropolis reach upwards towards the camera.
Soaring, also, the lens captures the changing splendour of mountain range, cloudscape, sea and sunset, the fleeting encounters with other airfarers in the skyroads between a thousand airports, and the ceaseless watch and ward maintained for the security of the air.
One of the most widely distributed NATO films, High Journey was the first NATO film to have theatrical distribution as a prime target.
This film could not have been made without the help of the ALLIED AIR FORCES IN EUROPE.
