About This Game (from steam)
Welcome to Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator 2, the most ridiculous and insane battle simulator in existence! As for the Kreig mask, far as I know they aren't that high tech. They work enough to keep the soldier alive long enough to kill some enemies. The Krieg were never big on worrying about long term health issues.
They have filtration units on their chests that connect to their masks.
@@Crims0nBaron Yeah they are filters that "mostly work", not full separate air supplies or the like. And if the books I read about the past of Kreig are any indication they really don't care if exposure kills the Krieg, long as they can kill some of the enemy before they die. During their civil war they went to fight knowing they'd only live about 48 hours or so on the surface due to the radiation and such up there.
You guys do know that the planet Krieg is so toxic that you would die in 5 minutes without protection right. These guys train on that surface from the moment they can start training until they deploy. Masks that somewhat work won’t cut it when they do that, they might not care about their lives but they would consider a soldier that dies from the after effects a few months out of Kreig’s atmosphere to be a waste.

7:27 Halberd is the weapon, think a spear with (sort of) meat cleaver (with a spike) at the tip. Halberdier is the soldier who would be trained to work in formation with other halberdiers. Imagine a phalanx formation, really works well against those heavily armored a$$hats on horseback!
I think the artillery is actually what hurt the front lines. I saw a few chaps warriors get thrown up, land in the krieg lines and then killing kroegsmen

They should implement better movement obstacles in this. Because walking over rivers of blood (literally at @7:01) and walls of corpses should decrease speed a lot and melee guys wouldn't able reach in time. :)
Funny fact the artillery is a pretty weak troops in this game against anything that can survive a hit. The rate of fire, range, accuracy and dmg is under whelming tbh unless it's a 1 hit kill like against pox walkers or you have thousands of the cannons.
The krieg gas masks work by having that big tube coming out the front connect to a fairly chunky box attached to the belt, which hold a nice large filter that filters the vast majorit of all toxins and radioactive particles from the air, including nurgle plagues. Some chemical agent's are just capable to melting through the filters and the tubing and bassically all the other gear as well, but most stuff the krieg can just march through nice and easily.
They do occasionally connect oxygen cannisters to them, but the filters are way better in any environment which actually has oxygen.

17.10 (here I go again) So, the Imperial Guard and volly firing. The guardsmen are heavily trained in VF to the point that they'll instantly follow the order regardless of (otherwise debilitating) issues like fear. In part because it's just basic humans facing the most horrible and terrifying things in the universe. Usually the IG does function on a fire at will order, but sometimes it breaks down. I don't think the Krieg would need to rely on it as much, but they're psycho-conditioned to be almost emotionless (can't be killing for chaos if you don't care).
It was looking really close initially , until about 5 minutes to go , when the ratio of troops remaining showed that the imperials couldn't win .
IDK, one artillery gun per 2,000 infantry sounds low to me. There should be at least a battery (6+) per thousand infantry, in my mind.

They needed nuclear shells and depleted uranium rounds! The Death Korps should have won this! Seriously though, this could be any WW1 setting and it would be on point (with the death and the casualties and the insanity...), I love the unapologetic violence of 40K, it just gets war right.
They lost the battle, but are winning the meat war, cuz they inflicted more losses than they took.

@ChaoticPinky no, the death guard are primarch Mortarion's traitor legion not the general name for a nurgle army, one can be a follower of nurgle and not part of the death guard, one can even be a nurgle traitor marine and still not be a part of the death guard

Could you pls due a Vraks style battle, with chaos on the defense? You could even do a video series where first artillery and waves of kriegs pound defensive lines of renegades, but then they counter attack with tanks and chaos marines, and eventually the inquisition and demons get involved…

Better use of terriegn would have changed the battle. The formations where to deep for for the type of fight. Longer thinner lines, broken into several lines, using hills would equal win

Make a video where both sides have tons of firearms and tanks or make one where both armies are melee only

Yeah, no trenches, low artillery numbers, no heavy infantry support weapons and kriegs guys don't use their bayonets in melee. :)
