THANK YOU MS. ALEA FOR YOUR REVIEW ON THE OPHIRE CROCHET HOOKS. IM ALSO A FURLS COLLECTOR MYSELF & I SAW YOUR HONEST REVIEW & SINCE I BOUGHT 4 OPHIRE CROCHET HOOKS & A FREE CONFETTI YARN TO GO WITH IT. I FOUND IT WONDERFUL & WORKS WELL NEXT TO FURLS. THANK YOU & HAPPY CROCHETING 🎉 🎉🎉🎉
Oh man, you have to check them out. She is planning to come out with new crochet hooks every month inspire on the month birthstone. It is going to be epic. I am so excited to see what other stuff she comes out with!
Yes, I would like them too. They are beautiful hooks and they’re very smooth and my initial thought is that they work very well I think after playing with them for a few months, I’ll give an official review.
Thank you so much for sharing this video, I just purchased some can't wait to get them I have alot of furls hooks but I really like the head on the ophire hooks
I've been looking at this line. I want the hook I get to be Ruby since that is my birthstone. In a 4.5 mm because that's my favorite size to use. I like sport weight yarn for most projects. I may do 4, 4.5, and 5. Thanks for the review! 🤗
Wow! Those are so pretty! I’ll prob get a sapphire hook, since I’m a September birthday… love that color! Sparkly too! I just hope they don’t snap or break… but they look like they’re smooth to work with.
Super excited to find your videos. I am a Furls and Omni gal but I think I need to go check out the Ophire hooks. That Sapphire hook is screaming to me right now. 😍 Thank you for sharing!
I just got my first Ophire hooks and it makes squeak noise which I can deal with but the head is bigger and makes the stitches not as tight. The throat is not very deep either and sometimes can't grab yarn. So far, I'm not impressed. I'm currently using Tulip and Prym and they work excellent. The Ophire looks good, but I also need good performance. I may have to see what the return policy is.
I think both the opal and the sapphire are gorgeous, but I would have to pick the Opal because my birthday is in October, and I have loved opals since I was a little girl. I love your mandala background, too. It is beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Hugs & blessings!
I absolutely love the opal and I think that’s why it keeps selling out. I can’t wait to be able to grab the whole entire set because it’s just gorgeous and thank you so much for all of the compliments so sweet.!
I was lucky enough to get 2 x J 6mm Oops! hooks. I have tried them both. Can't find a fault, blemish, or undesirable feature. I love 'em!!! I can't wait for my birth month set! August...
I just got mine, Aquamarine and Turquoise, love them because they are 6" - 6 1/4" long. Furl about 6 3/4", the two I have and Ommi 7", all beautiful but love the Ophire because it's shorter for my small hands.
They do look a lot like the frills hooks. I’ve never tried the furls streamlined so I can’t really compare them. Let me know if that’s a video you’re interested in!
I thought the same thing but haven't bought the Ommi resin hooks. I bought one with a wooden handle, but I wouldn't say I liked it that much. Do you think I should give the resin hooks a try?!
Well u sold me so what did I do ordered 5 opal hooks and it cost me over 100.00 and then when they arrived another 24.00 tax for Canadian shipping. Now I wouldn’t min it so much if they were great for crocheting , but Nope, not worth the hype, I will not trust any of your recommendations ever again. Proms hooks have nothing to worry about. Disappointed 😢
Oh man I am so sorry these hooks didn’t work for you. I am not completely done with the trial portion of my review of these hooks yet. This video was just my first thoughts upon receiving the hooks. I would love to hear what you didn’t like about them so I can address in my full review video.
Well the problem is when working with cotton, it keeps hesitant and hard to get pass the stitch off, I’m not sure what the terminology should be but there seems to be too much friction. I was so looking forward to them and so disappointed and being a senior 145.00 is not a small sum for me to waste.
@@rosemariemartins6148 have you tried other fibers with them? Or maybe your tension. I notice if I have a tight tension when working with cotton it can be a challenge.
Precisely why I only buy ONE hook to try out before ordering more. I have no problem with mine. Maybe resin hooks in general don't do well with cotton yarn. I'll have to give it a try.
I bought 3 knowing they don't work well with cotton. The only hook that works well with cotton is brushed aluminum. I have every type of material used in crochet hooks and brushed aluminum is the absolute best. Clover and Tulip make them :)

I’ve never tried the Omni hooks. I’ve seen them all over Amazon. Are they any good? Maybe I should do a review!
First time watching your video. I loved your energy. And the hooks are beautiful…love the opal!!!
Thank you so much I hope that you stay for the rest of my videos. And yes that opal hook is phenomenal.

Hello! They come with the hooks which is a nice touch!
New subscriber here 👋🏻 thanks you for this review. I love my Furls, definitely a Furls fanatic 😂❤ but open to try something new.

Yes same with me, small-hand girlies united.
They look similar to the Furls hooks
