Hello. DIY here. I used wella demi with vol 10 wella toner for my gray hair which is a few pieces around my hairline and 10% throughout my head. I’ve tried the same thing twice and it washes out as if it was barely touched, if at all and I puzzled as to why it immediately washes out? I’ve left it on for the specified time. Any tips or ideas what I’m doing wrong? Thank you in advance.
My issue as a client is going from colorist to colorist, having a consultation, everyone telling me they can do this and I leave the salon with different results I'm unhappy with. Then living with it for a while, to keep my hair from getting over saturated with product, etc. then getting a referral to an excellent stylist, having another consultation and again, leaving without getting the results I'm expecting. I bring photos, I have gone with 2 inches of natural regrowth with grays... and I'm always unhappy. I don't care how much it costs I just want a certain result and no one can give it to me. Why? I live 10 miles outside of NYC... There are some of the best stylists in my area... yet I can't get anyone to do what I want. It's so frustrating.
OMG I need your help! My hair is naturally in a 6. range. After years of coloring at level 4-5 I am now dark brown to black 😩 How can I get started with Demi? So at what level? Without a huge cut😮
Dear Elaine, I’ve watched many of your UTube videos and I think you are amazing! thank you for what you do. 30 yr a veteran here. I’ve been using an opaque demi color for years as a lowlight and as my clientele has become more gray I’ve been painting between the foils with the demi/10 volume. over the last few years, I’ve noticed that it has become increasingly difficult to lift through the demi when I’m highlighting, causing more damage than I’ve had in the past. I think the brand has maybe started putting direct dye into the formula; making it unpredictable when lifting through the demi. I discovered Ion Demi from Sallys years ago and it was perfect until the last few years. What line do you recommend for your Demi? I’m planning to sign up for your insider secrets course so thank you!
Yes I am not surprised you are having an issue. Demi color used a few times will be equally as difficult to remove as permanent color unfortunately. I use Redken Shades Eq for my liquid demi and Wella Color Touch for my creme
Your redken shades eq formula is 7nb and 7n (you shared in comments) but your highlights are about a 9 or 10....could you tell me your shades eq formula for your blonde? Id be very grateful ~2001 Cosmo Grad aka was taught nothing about color haha 😊
I think it works different when you have dark hair, because I notice that the next time I do my roots a little bit darkens my gray a bit darker, so it always look like I have lighter roots that gradually get darker, like a backwards balayage
Oooo im colouring my moms hair and going the demi route . I was worried about the upkeep but now an convinced to go the demi route
Could you make a video doing several different women with different colors/ shades I’d love to see that. Using demi
Hi yes Sherry you just described my course Hair Color Secrets Insider check it out at www.expertcolorsolutions.com

Use 15 or 20
This clear up so much for me
The client around 7:25, what shades Eq would you use on her to keep her a beautiful brunette with warm tones.
Very interesting. I’m a client not a colorist.
and how much oxidant should I mix with, i.e. percent

Mein Naturton ist 6 Asche.
Sollte ich in Demi ein 6.1 verwenden?
Bitte helft mir, damit ich aus dem jahrelangen Kreislauf herauskomme 🙏🏽
Does Demi have Ammonia? I am thinning a bit on top and can't do heat or bleach. Thank you.
no

What about a demarcation line? I'm trying to avoid that as much as possible.

It sounds like it is being overlapped in the application try using a bottle not a bowl and brush
Fancifull cant have the word permanent in the same sentence. It's basically like those powder colors that wash right out
