- Here is a Very High scoring all clear run on Time Crisis 2 / タイムクライシス2 on the PS2 version, taking no damage.
I recently found out that 2 million points could be possible on the Time Crisis 2 Playstation 2 port, so I went and did it.
I noticed that no matter how well I did combos, I wasn't able to improve on 1.96m, so I went to see what can be done, all else that could be improved is time bonus, but can't be much faster on the stages that I get time bonuses, or to increase the no miss hit bonus, so I tried this out.
On Time Crisis 2, the score advantage of no miss hit bonus at some points in the game is really huge, but it's so difficult to keep consistent. Even with dropping the combos at some areas, the score increase is still worth trying out, and even with some silly mistakes, 2 million was achieved by quite a margin.

Time Crisis 2 is the second in the hugely popular arcade light gun game series by Namco.
This game was a great update to Time Crisis, introducing a scoring system, and 2 player co-op mode and also two different paths to be chosen by the players.
Whenever there are two orange enemies next to each other, shooting the left one first usually gives you the route to the left, and the right enemy will make you take the right routes.
Time Crisis 2 also added a scoring system, you can score by shooting enemies, and the score per shot increases depending on your hit combo, and where you are hitting the enemy.

Hey I noticed that you shot off the stage 1 boss Jakov's hat 4 times nice accuracy.
Duh, otherwise he won't get to the bonus area (Keith's route in co-op mode but without bonus yellow men) instead of facing the tank (Which Robert does in co-op)
Goodness it took me a while to do that in arcade but it was really worth xD

Wow, you play like you are botting. Heads hit first almost every single time followed up by 2-3 center of mass shots, super consistent man.
How do you get such constancy and accuracy out of a dinky light gun I have always had issues getting very clean calibrations.
+74KU experience and knowledge is a lot of it, and a good memory of the game helps too, yeah I like my light-guns to work as well as they can

I'm still amazed that you can get more points by NOT triggering the second secret area! Is it something to do with your position later on? Because I've noticed it's less than ideal in Area 3 of Stage 2 and then Area 1 of Stage 3. Oh, P.S. There's a yellow guy in the helicopter at 12:45.
By the way, how do you trigger the third secret, where five yellow enemies appear around Wild Dog rather than grey ones? I can only guess it's something to do with the combo you get when Wild Dog first appears.
Shame you missed Wild Dog's fist at 17:52, but nice one on getting him at 17:43.
You have to hit at least 25 shots to Wild Dog in the previous area.

This was one of my favorite arcade shooter games! I put a lot of tokens in this game and I beat it a few times! You however did a fantastic job! You have my utmost respect! I am curious about one thing, and if ANYONE knows the answer to this, please reply and let me know. Does anyone know what kind of car that is Keith and Robert are using at the start of stage 2?

Dude you are excelent, I had achieved 1.5 M with no taking hits, always in the Arcade (I didn't bought the PS2 version), and with maximun accuracy percentage of %79.5 (getting all the three bonuses). Do you know if there is any difference in the score system and accounting? And again, you rock man!
Idea for time crisis is remakes for all the modern consoles switch,ps5,and Xbox serious x.

Can you explain how you are able to squeeze more points? I happen to always struggle at 950k-ish points no life loss. Trying to surpass above 1 million points, theres a cabinet 10 minutes to where i live lol. Also, do you know how to reach the small bonus area in stage 2 area 2, i just dont get the real reason to be able to reach it.

There's a special sort of feeling you get when you first manage to beat a Time Crisis game with only one credit.

Nope, the P1 routes are just easier than P2s.

Edit: The maximum hit cap is 99 but can you still score bonus pts after the stagger? I do know that the 99 hit cap was removed when TC4 and Raizing Storm were released...
***** yeah it's just the hit counter that stops increasing, there is no score loss.. there is a score loss on TC4 after 999 hits

Is that possible for a score loss in TC4 after 999 Hits because I haven't seen that happen at all and the maximum combo I have seen is 795 hit that can be done on Stage 1-2 on 1P's side if you mark the route well...

Amazing that wild dog just won't die. He's like that big buff bad guy character in metal slug series that kept coming back even though you saw him die at least once in medal slug 2. I think it was because the guy had a wife and kids. Technical there's 6 time crisis games there's 1/4 then there time crisis project Titan . Time crisis has good voice acting unlike house of the dead 1 and 2 the voice actin in those is terrible.

Only in Solo Play, in coop mode every character has their own route while in Solo Play you can pick which one (shoot left brown guy first, you go to Keith's route I think and if you shoot right brown guy first, you go to Robert's route I think)
Again, you have bonus route marked by yellow soldiers only, this can be achieved by doing the requirements
e.g. in stage 1 area 2, you need to shoot Jakov's hat everytime he appears. And you'll get tp bonus route

darklagoon1 mainly some of the bonus guys sometimes give 5,000 for each shot on the arcade version, there are some timing differences, some shootable scenery, the amount of shots the 2nd boss requires
