I thank her, as Chen takes my hand again. I actually couldn't sleep, so I choose to talk more with Chen before the celebration starts. I am still a little amazed at how she matured while I was away. I can't stop looking at her, and I'm sure she knows that. "The time has come", smiling she said. I nodded and stood up with her. Everyone still was coming, so I just sat on a log near the campfire and watch everyone gather around. There was no actual place for musicians, just some space between logs. They were already there, tuning instruments. As Yukari appeared, I tried to avoid her glance because of what I've done before, but when she looked at me, it seems she was fine with it. Everything was set and the celebration of Chen's birthday has begun. Few words of everyone, a couple of traveler's stories, and the ending part - dance. Chen took a timbrel and began to dance. It was some kind of a gipsy dance, unknown to this land, which had surprised me. She was jumping to drums and spinning to the violin, graceful and playful. Lights dancing on her cheeks made her look much more beautiful when she already was. I was staring at her in a trance, clapping along with everyone. She smiled even wider and took my hand, dragging me into a dance without even asking - she knew I would accept anyway.
Well she is Nekomata and Nekomata can gain tails too, they just aren't supposed to have that kind of lifespan long enough to allow them to get past 4 and most of them get themselves killed of early.
