Much easier to just set up a snare trap to get the animals. It catches them, you cut them down, pick them up, put them in the pen and untie them. Easy peasy!
It would be a neat feature of the game that the more you catch poison dart frogs the effects get lesser and lesser until you can pick up a frog with very little down sides
I know right! It can be a lot to take in at first, but the devs did a great job at adding so many features, and they continue releasing updates to this day.
@@spitfire9880 I made the blowpipe and it gave me blueprints for the frog stretcher, darts and pen and when I finished the pen I´ve got blueprints for feeder and water. But I have to say it all does not make much of a sense You do not want to go building a pen without having a way to feed your animals. I have a mindset that would keep me waiting till I get them. It´s just I know after the years of playing how the game works now. Still, building a blowpipe for catching animals without a place to put them in, well I think it´s kind of backwards. Keep them alive is also a pain in the neck. Make sure to keep the pen clean.
@@spitfire9880 Btw, when you´re be killing the animals use the blow pipe to put them to sleep and then kill them inside of the pen. Don´t ever open it under any condition.
my friend made me buy it last week. its better than i thought it be. my #1 complaint is food-water doesnt last long. so its super hard to go out and explore very far. #2 managing 3 dif food types. #3 when something goes wrong, u die quickly unless ur prepared. #4 energy doesnt last long #5 growing plants -garden seemed very unhelpful.... i thought they replinish more quickly but nope. #6 kinda all ties the rest together just so time consuming to do anything. even with all that. at least with a friend. i come to enjoy it. first 6ish hours i was silenty cursing. now with good base setup i look forward to gettin on. ofc understanding the game, what to eat how to heal etc helped a ton too.

I think there are 2 types of people who play this game. Ones that understand survival well and those who don't or at least have to think of it. Since I was asking my friends what they thought of the game. 2 said that it was only possible with friends. One said it just wasn't for him. And when I said I beat it with the good ending solo. One friend said "WTF how? did you cheat, or are you a masochist."
When I saw that an ankle-height tree trunk was an impediment to your moving, I lost all interest in this game. As funny as I though Monty Python's Twit of the Year competition was, where the twits were thwarted by matchboxes in their path, I have no desire to play a simulator of that.

Honestly I got this game when it first came out. It's still sitting in my library.
I have so many games that I bought that just sit there 😭 If you enjoy a survival grind Green Hell is definitely a great game
