I love long and full playthrough videos better than short ones. But I loved your reactions and commentaries, and will watch your series anyway.
New viewer here. In case no one answered this: stalactites hang from the ceiling (they have to cling “tight” to stay up), while stalagmites are on the ground.
Another way to remember the difference: "stalactite" has a "T" that looks like a spike hanging off the ceiling, "stalagmite" has an "M" that looks like two floor spikes.
I'm really enjoying your attention to the lore and other little details in this game. There's so many small things that come together to make it great so it's awesome that you're taking note of them! I just found your channel and started this series but I can't wait to catch up!

I gotta say this is one of the best let's plays of HK that i've watched (and i've seen quite a few). I also played this first with keyboard on my notebook, but it was a huge upgrade when I plugged my controller. Honestly is just better (and feel better) to play this via controller. That being said, you didn't struggle at all with the platform sections, and even less in combat. I'm making my way to episode 10 now! Looking forward to see which directions you explore first and how you figure the story.

Wow, this takes me back. Used to play a platformer a long time ago; wasn`t good at it though. Think it still was around the time that my eye sight was worse. Could hardly keep track of the playable character. Didn`t know they still made these types of games.
I support your idea for shorter episodes i think its better this way, i didnt mind the long episodes but i understand it can be too much for 2h per episode, but since its gonna be daily, in the end it will be more enjoyable i think. Keep up the good work!
Hollow Knight is such a good game. Very fun and challenging. Your playthrough is so much fun, I can't wait for the late game content because there's some awesome stuff there.
I like the idea of compressing the game sound so it's always level with your voice, but I think you went overboard with it. It sounds way overly compressed

Some people as well as herself found that some of the longer gameplay videos were not ideal. She felt this was a good game to try this with as her full playthrough had not been uploaded yet. A lot of streamers do 30 minute or hour long videos as some people find those easier to keep track of and sections and (supposedly), as I've heard this from multiple streamers, the TH-cam algorithm is a bit better with those lengths. I'm obviously paraphrasing so if you want to see the explanation in her own words just check out her most recent community post.
Ryan Bell did a great job at explaining. My prior format was just too long for the average viewer, including myself. A large amount of people are intimidated by 2hr uploads, get bored quickly, or skip around. Even with the ability to finish videos later, the average viewer just doesn't care that much or forgets- speaking from personal experience. It felt odd to continue making content even I wouldn't watch.
@@suddenimpulse030 Ah there in lies the issue cause the community tab is NOT available yet on iPad and it’s my primary way of watching TH-cam, I only see posts when I’m on my PC and it doesn’t show em all just random ones. I personally like longer videos cause it’s like a movie, It also lets me get in the groove of watching cause 30 mins is too quick hell even 50 mins is rather short nowadays.
@@RustyRagesRegularly Wow had no idea about the iPad issue. TH-cam definitely has some odd features lacking given how established it is and its parent company. Things you would think they would've implemented many years ago no less nowadays. Like not being able to searchbar through your own playlists. If you like to keep the views going longer, I would suggest putting them in a playlist in order. Then it will go to the next one after you finish what you are watching without having to fiddle with anything.
Will you consider playing in the future Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee? An amazing side scrolling game from the late 90s Edit: There are no unlocks like this game for example (or currency), but the simplicity of that game is what gave it its authentic charm
I prefer this shorter style of video. When it's a new game, It's easier to get through a 1h long segment in one sitting. And if it happens to be a game I've played myself, it's easier to scan through and skip if need be to see the sections I like to see.
I think the video length is a step in the right direction. I could watch the entire video without taking any long breaks and I just couldn't sit throught the 2 hour long videos8except the last of us 2 loved it) So I'm exited too see this change possibly happening
If you want an older platformer that is a massive cult classic and is regarded by many as the best in its series. I'd highly suggest giving Castlevania Symphony of the night

I had to go back and listen because I was even confused. I said, "it has the three masks on it"
