  • Hey, Drop Tech fans! Welcome back to the channel! Today, we have some exciting updates on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. If you were hoping for a much bigger front screen on the Galaxy Z Fold 6, we have some news for you. A picture of a case for the phone, shared by casemaker Thinborne on Twitter, might let you down.
The photo shows that Samsung isn’t making the cover screen much bigger. The display will be a bit wider due to a different aspect ratio, but the actual screen size will stay almost the same. The 7.6-inch foldable display will also be the same size but with a shorter and wider aspect ratio.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 will feature sharper corners for a more angular appearance. It might also be about 15 grams lighter and include a titanium frame. Other aspects of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will largely remain unchanged from previous models.
There’s a rumor that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 at an event called Unpacked on July 10. These new smartphones have already been approved by several authorities and were recently listed on China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology database.
Both the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 will support dual SIM capability and 5G connectivity. It’s confirmed that they will use the same chip for all versions. The international version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 has appeared on Geekbench, showing the same hardware as the US version, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with 12GB of RAM.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 will have two rear cameras: a 50-megapixel wide-angle primary camera with OIS and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The front camera will be a 10-megapixel unit. It will feature a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, triband Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo, and NFC.
We’re also hearing that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will come in various colors like Blue, Mint, Silver Shadow, Yellow, Crafted Black, Peach, and White. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be available in Navy, Pink, Silver Shadow, Crafted Black, and White.
Exciting times ahead, Drop Tech fans! Mark your calendars for July 10. At the Galaxy Unpacked event, we expect Samsung to reveal not only the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 but also the Galaxy Watch 7, Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds 3, Buds 3 Pro, and maybe even the Galaxy Ring!
