Прекрасно!!! собираюсь вот14.11 на концерт Royal String Quartet на 7 Фестиваль польской музыки в Москве, где будeт звучать тоже 7 квартет Шостаковича. Интерестно будет потом сравнить исполнение
Great performance. Not as good as their cd recording of this piece with the same personnel, in my very humble opinion. I find this performance lacking a bit in depth and sounding a bit too routine, just another performance - however perfect it may be. But a premiere performance nonetheless. What a thrilling experience it must have been to listen to this iteration of the Borodin Quartet!
The free jazz group Das Mädchen made an improvisation of the theme presented at 7.20 in this video. We called the tune Dmitrij Seven. Enjoy: m.th-cam.com/video/5qsHmOgYU5o/w-d-xo.html
Perhaps No 7 is not as satisfying overall as No8, but what a remarkable piece of music. Who else but Shostakovich could write music about anxiety and fear that was still so enthralling to listen to.
Really unfortunate that No.8 completely overshadowed No.7. Every time I try to look No.7 up it autocorrects to No.8 🙁 They’re both amazing in their own ways though
Quelle maîtrise et quelle profondeur. Sensationnel.
Thank you so much.

dactyL20 I think 7 is superior to 8. 8 is obvious in its emotional content. 7 is enigmatic.
@@christopherbuilder5354 I agree. Plus if you really want to have burned ears listen to # 10- 2nd movement!
No. 7 is one of the best ever. Absolutely perfect by all means
I was fortunate to hear the Danish String Quartet perform this recently. Their playing of the second movement amazed me. Agree about the 8th, but....
