Jim at his very best, were he starting out today I would dare say that he would be more than capable of blowing the so called competition right out the water. He was that good !
Absolutely one of the smoothest pure voices of all time. Jim Reeves, Marty Robbins, Patsy Cline, Johny Horton and Roy Orbison are my favorites, I could listen to them all day. If I could sing and could clone a voice it would have to be Jim Reeves. All these gone way to early, can't imagine what they would have done had they lived. God has them now. Thank you for posting this album, terrific.
@@brianlykins6663 "I Love You Because" (1976) was an undeniable landmark for this wonderful album from RCA Victor. New orchestral music arranged and conducted by first-timers Harold Wheeler and Emmy, Oscar and Golden Globe winner Kathy Bates of the Straight Time, Misery, Dick Tracy, Titanic, Primary Colors and About Schmidt fame. Peace!
It is amazing, not only the length of time, but the diversity of countries, cultures and languages of peoples who have accepted him and honored him. Jim Reeves sang in an universal voice.
Many people I know would say I don't like country music but I like Jim Reeves. Just Observing. Like yogis Berea said you could learn a lot when you do lol.
I love your voice JIM REEVE will never get bored
I've loved the music of Jim Reeves since I was a young child. I'm 63yrs now and still find his music soothing and beautiful 😊

Love your list, but could I add another - Jim Ed Brown. I share your love for those great ones - Heaven must be one great concert!
@David Lester Agree Jim Ed Brown would complete the list.

Not many singers could have a following 58 YRS after their death, Jim's voice was almost hypnotic.

Jim reeves music nice to hearing.
People will listen ur songs until the second coming of Jesus Christ ❤
Great album of love songs but the only drawback is the inclusion of "Shifting Whispering Sands". It' not a love song. Very puzzling.
Any list of the top country singers all time without Jim in the top 2 or three is completely Bogus. Just my opinion.

For me Jim Reeves and his music will ALWAYS be top of my list
