Genesis 32:24-28
In Jacob, we can clearly see ourselves. We can identify with is struggle, his doubt, his fear, and his being alone. We can identify with the reality of wrestling with God and wondering if any of His promises will come to pass. Yet in Jacobs wrestle we get a glimpse of a God who is not simply forming a nation, or intervening sporadically but intentionally painting a picture of how he will gather the nations to himself.
