Wish we would if got a second opinion for my moms brain tumor. I don't understand why they couldn't just cut some of the tumor out. Relieve some pressure and then did radiation.

The ucla radiation therapists are great. Made getting radiation ok. I ended up looking forward to treatment.
They never bring up the long term effects of radiation therapy . Or the effects it has on the rest of the brain. Wife is 20yr. survivor of a mixed glioma and after radiation the tumor came back less then a year. Opened skull up a second time to remove the tumor placed Gliadel wafers in the tumor bed. Now because of the radiation she ended up with a lesion the formed a cyst on her brain stem. Because of the radiation she suffers from apraxia, aphasia, Spatial awareness, Gama knifed the lesion and as of now 6 mounts latter the cyst has enlarged slightly.
After surgery of GBM, in how may days radiation therapy should be started?

Great Info: I had a "removal" a month ago, and they want to start radiotherapy next month.
I have some reservations, but, don't want to wait until (IF) something starts to grow back.
If someone has had this experience, I'd love to hear a reply.

Hi Doc - can radio surgery be done for a Meningioma in the Cerebellum area, symptomatic, causing seizers, loss of ability to speak for 10 minute periods? What do you think please?
Respected Madam I digonesed with schwannoma on left hypoglossal nerve. MRI brain scanned showed enhancing lesion (measures 8 X 6 X 12 mm) mildly abuts the ICA and posteriorly compresses the IJV within the
left carotid sheath with thickening and signal changes in the left
hypoglossal nerve and left hemi-atrophy of the tongue.
I was planned for Stereotactic Radio Surgery and the surgery done on
27/09/2022. Details of radiotherapy treatment as per ‘discharge
summary’ : 6 MV beam, 12 Gy to 80% isodose.
After 4 months my symptoms remain same. How much time take to reduce or disappeare the tumor?
Are you satisfied with my treatment?

My father's operation was GBM grade 4 and 26 radiation and 12 cycle chemotherapy tamozulomide 100 mg and 20 mg and then measured 1.4 × 1.8 × 1.6 cm and then another development is measured. 2.6 × 1.4 × 1.2cm And now the doctor says take a test of what is new or give gamma knife res, then please tell me something Dr. gamma res is not harmful or yes please help me any information and this Has side effects or not

If someone has a tumor on their pituatary glad and it is 3mm and they choose to have gamma knife surgery what happens with the tumor?

My mother is diagnosed with brain metasis. Tumor are found in breast, lungs and brain. One biopsy is done on breast reports have come as negative (not a threat). Now again another biopsy is done yesterday and waiting for results. Can her cancer be curable. She doesn't show much symptoms she only is weak, sometimes forgets things. Doctors are saying she might be having stage 4 cancer 😢😢😢😢😢😭😭😭
Everything is possible,many have survived due to less panic and trusting in the process,but take 3 samples of the tumor for biopsy to your private neurologist because some hospitals are after money
