    Just a little correction - at 24:00 when I mention all of the silver from that area being seated (from the site of the actual fairground), the quarters and newer silver was found in the field adjacent to the Deposit fairground, where the GW button was found.

  • @DESTINYFPV

    Do you think you could find a bigger shovel might as well be using a backhoe kinda hard to get permission tearing up lawns like that aint it?

    • @ParlorCityPickersDiggers
      @ParlorCityPickersDiggers  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We could probably bring a bigger one, but it would get tiring 🤣 This spot is complete swamp land. Land owner doesn't care one bit and probably wouldn't have even minded if we DID bring a backhoe. These targets are deep and in tough terrain. Usually have to dig 2 separate plugs for each hole. Good luck trying to dig a spot like this with a tiny shovel

    This is three months ago? May I make a suggestion? Go back again with a Deus II and you will find a lot more old coins. That's what I am doing, going back to places I've hunted before and finding A LOT of old coins. I sold my ATMax a long time ago and sold my NOX 800 three months after I got my Deus II. I'm on the west coast, where most of the older places have been torn down and new buildings and concrete now exist. I envy you guys on the east side of America. OK, after watching to the end, I apologize, this is the biggest collection of old coins I have ever seen, you guys rock. Thanks for sharing. I will subscribe and never say another negative comment again, promise. I do have to say, my Deus II is finding a lot of silver and copper coins that my other detectors missed.

      This location I researched about three years ago. It's about a three hour drive from where I live and can only be hunted in the spring due to the grass and brush growth. The coins at this location are extremely deep. The soil is harsh and very wet in a lot of areas. I upgraded my at pro to a larger coil specifically for this location. Over the years my dad and I combined have dug 500+ coins here from the 1800s useing the atpro and gold. This video is me now going back and showing what I found with my other machine. The mine lab e trac. Which definitely made a difference and pulled out coins the at pros missed. We will be going back again this spring with various machines to see what else is left. But I have heard good things about the deus and I imagine it would do great at this location. Thanks for the comment and donation. If you ever do plan a trip to our area hit us up and we can go out digging. Even to this location If you wanted, would just have to be during spring.

    Awesome spot, that's an incredible haul. I haven't found a seated quarter yet, looks like you guys are popping them out left and right. Maybe people were just poor here. : P There is an old fairground about 20 miles from my house from around the same timeframe. I haven't been able to find it. My dad hunted it some when he was younger and found some good stuff there. He is 70 now and his grandfather talked about going there as a kid, on the train because I guess there was no actual road to it. We walked for hours one day trying to come up with the spot, but there are very few records of it even existing. There has been some mining activity in that area and it may be gone, the rail bed is still pretty visible though. We'll have to take another stab at finding it someday.

    What wonders a toothbrush and a little water would have done for the camera on your finds. Two kinds of coin rarity. Condition rarity and date (mintage) rarity. Doubt if any coins found are rare due to condition but some could be date/mintage rare in which case the coin could be valuable in lieu of it's condition. Nice finds.

      Hello, $70.00 worth of silver coins could be only three coins? Three silver dollars. $70.00 worth is not a good description of your finds, IMO. Heck I've found over 16 hundred silver coins in ten years, and only one was rare, an 1897s half dollar that was in VF30 condition worth over $300.00. Do you mean face value of $70.00? I'm just curious.

    Hey, nubies! A small spray bottle of water and a tooth brush makes it easy to clean the coin and find a date without damage to the coin, which can happen when you wipe it on your jeans.

    • @ryanmcmurray4879
      @ryanmcmurray4879 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We really only wipe copper coins or modern silver on our jeans. Copper coins specifically Indians or wheats are pretty much worthless out of the ground. Many people also advise not to use a spray bottle and brush and just use your fingernail or tooth pick. In the end I don't really think it matters much because all coins dug from the ground are already environmentally damaged and would likely not even be able to be graded.

    Wow I never saw so much destruction done to someone's lawn. They were nice enough to give permission and you show disrespect digging big round plugs withna big shovel. That is not the proper technique for coin retrival. I use a Lesche digger withba serrated edge and dig a semi plug and fold is back like a trap door keeping some of the roots intact. Btw, what a nice old area to hunt finding all those old coins.

      Negative. Assuming you're talking about the first spot with the green grass? No destruction occurred and the landowners were more than happy with how we handled it. As for the other locations where the older coins came out, it's a literally swamp, so nobody even cared and we still did our best regardless. The targets were super deep there and the land is a warzone already. Thanks for your concerns though!
